Purpose: This research focuses on microeconomics and Tawhid String Relation (TSR) in relation to Islamic law (Shariah) as it is used in everyday problem solving. Design/Methodology/Approach: This study uses the content analysis method through a documentation study. Findings: The results indicate that financial resources are not the only productive assets of individuals but what they are needed for the development of other factors within the Islamic concept. Practical Implications: The study can contribute to promoting Islamic assets-e.g. microfinancing, Islamic Bank, Waqf, and Accounting zakat-which emphasize social justice. Regarding future research, the present findings need to be tested in the field. Originality/Value: The study contributes to compiles prior research and contributes new interpretations to Indonesian researchers, especially concerning ethical, moral, social and religious factors that promote Islamic assets (e.g. the use of microfinance to emphasize social justice in accordance with Shariah).
Ar-Rahnu provide source of finance for Muslim small-scale entrepreneurs in Malaysia especially in Kelantan. However, Ar-Rahnu service received a lukewarm response because in the procedure, customers are required to prepare collateral in the form of gold in their dealing. The question is, do the small-scale entrepreneurs realize about the existence of Ar-Rahnu? How is their acceptance towards the micro-credit financing? Is there any difference in the acceptance according to the demography? This article seeks to analyzed the level of acceptance and the difference in the demography of the small-scale Muslim entrepreneurs in Kelantan towards Ar-Rahnu. A total of 350 respondents were chosen through the purposive sampling comprising of small-scale Muslim entrepreneurs in Kelantan. The finding outcome is analyzed descriptively to know the percentage value and mean value using the software "Statistical Package for Social Sciences" (SPSS) version 22.0. The finding also shows a positive level of acceptance of small-scale Muslim entrepreneurs in Kelantan towards Ar-Rahnu. The small-scale entrepreneurs' level of acceptance towards elements under the factor of Religious Obedience and the Intrinsic factor is mode dominant compared to elements in the Extrinsic factor. The demographic difference between the gender of the respondents shows that there is a significant difference in the acceptance compared to other demographic factors. Thus, this article can give important implication to Ar-Rahnu institutions to consider about the importance of religious obedience and intrinsic factors that directly related to religious. Besides, the important of female entrepreneur role that becomes important icon towards Ar-Rahnu progress in Kelantan.
Small entrepreneurs are often associated with the issue of difficulty in obtaining capital due to lack of trust from financial institutions. This is due to no loan repayment guarantee by small entrepreneurs. Therefore, Ar-Rahnu is one of the alternatives to small entrepreneurs to get financing easily and quickly. However, response of Ar-Rahnu towards entrepreneurial goals is still low as a result of focusing more on personal use rather than for entrepreneurial purposes. Is this low response related to the low acceptance of Ar-Rahnu? Hence, this article intends to identify the intrinsic factors (internal stimuli) that affect the acceptance of Muslim small entrepreneurs in Kelantan towards Ar-Rahnu. A total of 350 respondents were selected by a purposeful sampling consisting of Muslim small entrepreneurs in Kelantan. The set of questionnaires consisted of 8 items relating to respondents' backgrounds, and 20 items on the intrinsic factors that affected the acceptance of small entrepreneurs towards Ar-Rahnu. The findings were analysed descriptively to analyse the percentage and mean values using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.0. Overall, small entrepreneurs in Kelantan exhibited positive acceptance of Ar-Rahnu based on the intrinsic factors. This was indicated by the high mean value displayed by each item, particularly items for halal and haram considerations.
