Background: Bullying victimization at school is an important concern in terms of social and mental health, particularly, for hearing impairment adolescent students who may be more vulnerable than hearing peers. Aim of the study was to evaluate effect of nursing intervention for hearing impairment adolescent students regarding bullying. Design: A quasi-experimental design was used. Setting: The current study was conducted at Al-Amal School for Mute and Deafness students at Benha City. Subjects: Purposive sample was used in this study, it includes 107 students, all of them were chosen from the mentioned setting. Tools of data collection: Five tools were used. I-A structured interviewing questionnaire; consisted of 2 parts to assess: 1) Demographic characteristics of hearing impairment adolescent students. 2) Questionnaire to assess student's previous exposure to bullying IIknowledge of hearing impairment adolescent students regarding bullying. III-opinions about deaf community. IV-Self-esteem scale. V-Adolescent Bullying scale. Results: This study showed;20.5% of studied students have poor knowledge pre intervention decreases to 1.8% post intervention, while 12.3% of studied students have good knowledge pre intervention increases to 84.1% post intervention. 78.5% of studied students with low selfesteem pre intervention decreases to 19.6% post intervention. While14% of studied students with high self-esteem pre intervention increases to 85.9% post intervention.56.8% of studied students with negative opinion about deaf community pre intervention decreases to 22.4% post intervention. While 44.2% of studied students with positive opinion about deaf community pre intervention increases to 77.96% post intervention. Conclusion: This study concluded that: The nursing intervention had a significant effect on the improvement of the hearing impairment adolescent students' knowledge, opinion and self-esteem. Recommendations: Further studies should be provided to assess factors that increase bullying behavior. Community support should be provided to hearing impairment adolescent students.

Background: cooperative jigsaw learning strategy is a kind of cooperative learning method which has been claimed to minimize the competitiveness in the learning environment by encouraging students for cooperative work. Aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of the utilization cooperative jigsaw learning strategy on maternity nursing students' attitudes and achievements. Research design: A quasi-experimental study was utilized. Sample: A convenient sample of 310 participants recruited from third-year nursing students at the faculty of nursing at Benha University during the course entitled maternal and newborn health nursing in the academic year 2018-2019. Those students were divided into two groups, control group (160) "lecture group" and study group (150) "jigsaw group". Tools of data collection; 1) self-administered questionnaire, 2) Learning's achievement tool (before and after intervention), 3) Likert attitude scale, 4) cooperative jigsaw opinion sheet, in addition to supportive material related to jigsaw strategy. Results: there were statistically significant differences between jigsaw and lecture groups regarding learning achievements immediately after intervention as p-value≤0.05, also there were statistically significant differences between both groups in follow up test with p-value≤0.001. Additionally, the students in the jigsaw group exhibited a more positive attitude regarding the jigsaw strategy than the students in the lecture group. Conclusion: The jigsaw learning strategy is effective in enhancing maternity nursing students' attitudes and achievements during maternal and newborn health nursing course. Recommendations: Apply cooperative jigsaw learning strategy as a teaching method in nursing student curriculums. Further research is still needed to study the effect of jigsaw learning strategy on clinical achievement.
Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a global health concern. It is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. By 2030 it is predicted to become the third leading cause of death and the sixth cause of disability worldwide. Aim:The study aimed to evaluate the effect of Orem's self-care behavior on quality of life of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Benha City. Methods: Quasiexperimental (pre/post-test) design was utilized in this study. The study was conducted at Outpatient Clinics of Chest Hospital in Benha City, Egypt on a purposive sample of 100 elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. A self-administered questionnaire, an observational checklist for elderly patients practicing regarding COPD, Quality of Life Scale (QOLS) and COPD Self-Care Behavior Scale (COPDSC) were used to collect the data. Results: 55% of the studied elderly patients had good total knowledge score post model implementation, 81% of the studied elderly patients were satisfactory practices post model implementation, 72% of the studied elderly patients had good total quality of life scores post model implementation, also there were improvement in self-care behavior post model implementation p<0001. Conclusions: This study concluded the positive effects of Orem's self-care behavior on elderly patient's knowledge, practices and their quality of life regarding chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The study recommended that continuous self -care behavior program for the elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to increase their knowledge and improve their behaviors and their practices.
