This article presents a global overview of emerging trends of wind energy technology development. The research conducted: a bibliographic review of the methods of technological prospecting and wind energy; a patent analysis, presenting the current panorama of technologies in this sector; and mapping of the technological evolution of wind turbines and a proposal of the future trends. The patent analysis identified 25,644 patent registrations from 2003 to 2012, showing a growth trend primarily in the United States and China, with significant representation of companies such as General Electric and Mitsubishi. As defined by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), knowledge areas focused on patent application deposits cover mechanical engineering; lighting; heating; weapons; blasting; and electricity. The trends show that wind turbines of the future are likely to be vertical and synchronous with the height of the turbine greater than 194m and rotor diameter greater than 164m, and that the power of a wind turbine will exceed 10 MW. The materials used in the blades will be nanomaterials with the characteristics of low density and high resistance such as graphene. Wind turbine towers will feature a hybrid material, combining steel and concrete.
The open innovation approach and its practice in technological innovation projects have been revealed in the literature and observed in practice companies as an old phenomenon. What differentiates its current use is that today its practice occurs in a systematic and formalized form in companies. This paper carried out a bibliographic-exploratory research about the wind power supply chain and it analyzes how technological innovations made their development possible. The study focuses specifically on exploring within the technological innovations occurred in the chain wind power, as the innovative approach followed by developers organizations. Results indicate that open innovation practices were essential for the success of economic and technological feasibility for the development of such chain, primarily by what happened partnership between the manufacturers of major components (aero generators, towers, blades) wind energy, research institutes, laboratories, universities and federal governments through incentive policies.
ABSTRACTThe article aims to describe the implementation of the full kit project, as well as to analyze its results applied in a confectionery industry located in Rio Grande do Norte, bringing the Theory of Constraints allied to the fast fashion model. The methodology used can be characterized as descriptive, with the use of quantitative and qualitative techniques, using as technical procedure action research. To develop the work were carried out survey of information about the company studied; bibliographical review on the confectionery industry, Theory of Restrictions and fast fashion; identification of restrictive resources to the system (bottlenecks); analysis on the decision on how to exploit the bottlenecks and description of perceived improvements after the application of such concepts. As a result of the intervention, gains were observed in the system, such as improvement in performance and organization indicators, benefiting from the preparation until the final product reached stores. Key-words:Full kit, Theory of Constraints, Fast fashion.
