Leadership has an important role in achieving the SMEs’ innovation and performance. One of the great concepts of leadership styles is the Burns’ (1978) concept, which divides leadership into two: transformational and transactional. This study analyzed the direct and indirect effect of transformational and transactional leadership on SMEs’ performance. This was conducted in seven regencies/cities in East Java Province, with 165 SMEs on superior indigenous food and beverage. The main research data were obtained by distributing the questionnaires. It uses path analysis to determine the direct and indirect effect using the LISREL software. The results showed that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on SMEs’ innovation and performance directly and indirectly. Transactional leadership has a direct positive and insignificant effect on SMEs’ innovation and performance. However, transactional leadership was found to have an indirect positive and significant effect on SMEs’ performance. In conclusion, transformational leadership is more important for improving SMEs’ performance in Indonesia than transactional. These results provide a practical contribution for SMEs’ leaders to improve transformational leadership, which is oriented towards charisma, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration. This study inspect and analyzes the impact of government support on SME performance both directly and indirectly through innovation. The sample in this study was 165 SMEs in East Java which focused on several regencies / cities which were the eastern development corridor area and had a distinctive superior food and beverage business. The collected data is then analyzed using path analysis. Of the four hypotheses proposed in this study, all were accepted. The results of testing the hypothesis of direct influence indicate that government support influences the performance of SMEs, government support influences SMEs innovation, and innovation influences the performance of SMEs. The results of hypothesis testing indirect effects indicate that government support influences the performance of SMEs through innovation.
Aplikasi instragram adalah aplikasi yang paling populer yang dapat digunakan untuk berbagi foto dan juga video. Faktor inilah yang manjadi alasan kenapa Instagram memiliki banyak manfaat bagi pelaku bisnis. Produk yang dijual dapat dipasarkan melewati fitur-fitur yang terdapat pada akun Instagram.Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus dengan cara mendeskripsikan apa yang dilakukan RR Outdoor Gear dalam melakukan strategi pemasaran melalui instagram rroutdoorgear_official. Teknik penentuan informan menggunakan metode purposive, informan untuk penelitian ini berjumlah 3 orang yang dipilih peneliti karena memiliki kompetensi dibidangnya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga cara yaitu Data Condensation, Data Display, dan Conclusion Drawing atau Verifications. RR Outdoor Gear adalah bisnis yang menjual perlengkapan-perlengkapan pendakian (naik gunung) yang berdiri tahun 2015. Saat ini RR Outdoor Gear sudah merambah kebisnis yang lain, diantaranya persewaan (rental) alat-alat gunung, perbaikan/reparasi alat-alat gunung, dan Trip Organizer. Strategi pemasaran RR Outdoor Gear melalui akun instagram dari rroutdoorgear_official dilakukan dengan menggunakan fitur-fitur instagram diantaranya strategi posting produk (feed instagram), penggunaan hashtag, penggunaan insta story (highlights), serta DM (Direct Message). Fitur yang ada dalam instagram tersebut dijadikan alat RR Outdoor Gear dalam memasarkan produk yang dijual, baik penjualan barangnya (pakaian/perlengkapan alat-alat gunung), maupun penjualan jasanya (persewaan, reparasi/perbaikan, dan trip organizer).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis penerapan penjualan personal sebagai bauran promosi di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penjualan personal adalah interaksi antar individu, saling bertatap muka yang ditujukan untuk menciptakan, memperbaiki, menguasai atau mempertahankan hubungan pertukaran yang saling menguntungkan dengan pihak lain. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik penentuan informan menggunakan metode purposive, informan untuk penelitian ini dipilih peneliti karena memiliki kompetensi di bidangnya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data mencakup kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penjualan personal yang dilakukan oleh CV Al-Maidah Wringintelu sebelum dan selama pandemi Covid-19 melalui tahapan-tahapan, diantaranya memilih dan menilai prospek, pra pendekatan, pendekatan, presentasi/demonstrasi, mengatasi keberatan, penutupan, dan tindak lanjut. Namun di masa pandemi Covid-19 pelaksanaan tahapan kurang maksimal, sehingga promosi yang dilakukan melalui penjualan personal ini tidak efektif karena tidak dapat meningkatkan penjualan.
