International surveys, such as TIMSS and PISA, frequently put Indonesia in the low ranks. It is an indication that the higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) of students in Indonesia are still low. This research aims to analyze students’ difficulties in solving problems that measure HOTS. This is a case study research with a qualitative approach. Participants studied were 93 high school students in grade XI. Data were collected using test instruments that measure HOTS, which was developed based on the standard contents of high school mathematics. The difficulties were analyzed descriptively by observing students’ errors in answering HOTS test items. Students’ errors were classified based on Newman’s Error Procedure (NEP). The result shows that around 8.33% of the students had difficulties in comprehension, 15.59% in transformation, 32.53% in process skills, and 1.34 % in encoding.

The purpose of this research is to find out whether the size of the company (SIZE) and the Capital Structure of the Value of the Company with the Distribution of Dividends as a variable intervening. The study period was 2011-2015 with a sample of 400 manufacturing companies listed on the IDX. Data analysis using PLS Warp. SIZE results have a significant negative effect on PBV, capital structure does not affect PBV, dividend distribution has a significant positive effect on PBV, SIZE and capital structure has a positive effect on PBV, dividend distribution can mediate SIZE against PBV, and Dividend Distribution cannot mediate Capital Structure PBV. The purpose of this research is to develop an instrument to evaluate local curriculum developed by the local government. Local curriculum is to preserve the uniqueness or culture of the Region. With a well-run educational system, students as young people can develop local or regional uniqueness. Type of this research is a research and development consisting of four phases: 1) initial investigation phase, 2) design phase and 3) expert validation phase, and 4) trial phase. From the initial investigation obtained 3 components of the evaluation that is; 1) resources component; 2) process component; 3) output component. The design phase is done by studying the theory and developing the instrument in the form of the questionnaire as many as 60 items. Expert validation phase is done by 2 evaluation experts, 1 measurement expert, and 8 practitioners. The results were analyzed using Aiken's validity. The trial phase is done 2 times in small scale and large-scale trials. The small-scale trial was analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's Alpha reliability. The large-scale trial was analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis and construct reliability. From the results of validity and reliability obtained 50 items of the instrument is valid and feasible to be used to evaluate local curriculum developed by local government.
