Penelitian dilatarbelakangi kondisi siswa SMAN 1 Daha Utara terkendala dalam menyelesaikan soal perhitungan pada materi Usaha dan Energi sehingga mengakibatkan hasil belajar cenderung rendah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika pada materi usaha dan energi. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Siklus PTK mengikut pendapat John Elliot yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 29 orang siswa. Instumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus 1 berada pada kualifiaksi cukup baik dengan persentase 44,83% meningkat menjadi kualifikasi baik pada siklus II sebesar 55,17%. Hasil belajar siswa XI IPA-1 SMAN 1 Daha Utara pada materi usaha dan energy dengan problem based instruction terjadi peningkatan.
Preliminary studies resulted in the finding of students' difficulties of SMPN 2 Daha Utara in understanding the dynamic electrical concept. As a result learning outcomes tend to be low. Classroom action research becomes smart decision to clear the gap between expectations and facts. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes and activities through the application of cooperative learning, STAD. The classroom action cycle refers to John Elliot's opinion. The research approach used is descriptive method by explaining the phenomenon that occurs based on observation and assessment. The subjects of this study were students of class IX A SMPN 2 Daha Utara consisting of 19 people, 7 male students and 12 female students. The results show that STAD type cooperative learning can increase activity with active qualification and learning outcome with special qualification, very good and good.
