Calanoid copepods belonging to four species and one subspecies from lakes and ponds mainly from the Cordillera Oriental (22) and Cordillera Central (1) of the Colombian Andes are recorded. Most of the water bodies studied are located in the 'pCamo' region, between 2996 and 4085 m altitude. The family Boeckellidae is recorded for the first time from Colombia. Taxonomic characteristics of Boeckella occidentalis Marsh, 1906, Boeckellagracilis (Daday, 1902 and the diaptomid Prionodiaptomus colombiensis (Thiebaud, 1914) are discussed. A new diaptomid genus, Colombodiaptomus, with one species and one subspecies are established.
Occasional collections of organisms from water bodies of the Andean Region and the Pacific coast of Colombia yieldedtwo species of canthocamptid harpacticoids belonging to the genus Attheyella Brady, 1880. A new species, Attheyella(Canthosella) chocoensis n. sp., inhabiting phytotelmata of the forest at the Pacific Chocó State is described. Attheyella(Delachauxiella) freyi Löffler, 1963, described from Ecuador, was found in a high mountain pond in the southern Colom-bian Andes, and redescribed here. Both species are illustrated with line drawings and SEM photographs. A special mor-phological structure was discovered on the antenna of male and female Attheyella (D.) freyi: it is probably present in otherspecies of the subgenus Delachauxiella Brehm, 1926, as well. An identification key to Colombian species of the family Canthocamptidae is provided.
The phylogenetic structure of the freshwater harpacticoid copepod Attheyella crassa G.O. Sars, 1863 was studied. This species is widespread in Europe and European Russia. Genetic and morphological divergence of populations from distant localities were analyzed. The most variable morphological characters, as well as genetic diversity among ten Western Palearctic populations, were revealed. How to cite this article:
