The Halalan Toyyiban food quality system technically has used both conventional and halal standards to control quality. This serves as a greater impact on both technical and Syari'ah elements to enhance the marketability of Halalan Toyyiban food items locally and globally. Scenarios of non-Shariah compliance of raw materials used had a great impact on Muslim consumers curiosity on the status of halal food product sold in the market. The population of this study was certified halal food manufacturers in Malacca and the sample was randomly selected. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire.
This article discusses the phenomenon of sleep, with emphasized to its importance, sleeping times, sleeping positions and even the etiquette of sleeping, from the views of Islam and Science. The Quran and Science are inseparable and the relationship between the two is highly balanced. Scientists have said that the phenomena of sleep is a miracle that deserves to be analysed and studied in depth, as it is a complex phenomena. Glory and Praise to be Allah Almighty has decreed in the Quran of the importance of sleep in the day and night, and that sleep is one of the signs of Allah’s Almighty power and is a miracle to be studied by each individual. Islam places great importance on taking care of one’s body and sleep is one need that has to be fulfilled. Scientists have stressed that sleep is needed to rest the brain, improve memory, and increase one’s energy. This shows that Islam places great importance on having productivity and alertness in each individual’s deed. Many scientific facts that had been clearly stated in a fundamental manner in the Quran could only be analysed with the advanced technology of the 20th century. These facts were not known when they were first revealed and are proof that the Quran is the book of Allah Almighty. This paper intent to examine the function of the financial reporting, in enhancing the Shariah compliance of the Islamic financial transactions and the role of the Shariah committee in the Islamic bank in giving the assurance of Shariah compliance of the financial reporting. These would enhance the integration of the financial reporting of the Islamic bank and Shariah compliance. However, how Shariah compliance is conveyed in financial reporting received scant attentions in academia. This study uses literature as the study method. This is a conceptual paper describing the link between financial reporting on the Islamic financial transactions and Shariah compliance. The conclusion of this study shows that the knowledge in finance and accounting and experience of the Shariah committee enhances the financial reporting to be aligned with the Shariah. Therefore, it could increase the confidence of the stakeholders. As such, this study might be of interest to top management in Islamic banking, industry players, Shariah committee and regulators.
