Synthesis of a New Multidentate Phosphane Ligand C 6 H 2 (CH 2 PPh 2 ) 4 -1,2,4,5 -X-Ray Structure of a Dinuclear Ruthenium(II)-Bridged Complex:[{RuCl 2 (PPh 3 )} 2 {C 6 H 2 (CH 2 PPh 2 ) 4 -1,2,4,5-P,P',P",P"'}].-The tetraphosphane ligand (I) is synthesized in high yield by Arbuzov reaction of 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(bromomethyl)benzene with Ph 2 POEt followed by reduction with HSiCl 3 .
