Bu çalışmada, Atatürk tarafından John Dewey'ye hazırlatılan "Türkiye Maarifi Hakkında Rapor" ile Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından hazırlanan "2023 Eğitim Vizyonu Belgesi" arasında kullanılan kavramlar açısından benzerlikler ve farklılıklar nitel araştırmanın belge analizi tekniğiyle incelenmiştir. Araştırmacılar belgeleri inceledikten ve ilgili kavramlardan temalara ulaştıktan sonra ana başlıklara ulaşmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre öğreneni merkeze alan öğrenci odaklı bir yaklaşım, yaparak ve yaşayarak öğrenme ve öğretmen yetiştirme her iki belgenin ortak temaları olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Dewey'nin raporunda temel eğitim ve eğitimin o yöreye özgü niteliklere sahip olması önemsenmiştir. MEB 2023 Eğitim Vizyonu Belgesi'nde ise teknoloji ve eğitim arasında bağ kurulmuş ve okul yöneticiliğinin meslekleşmesi ön plana çıkmıştır. Bununla birlikte, köy enstitülerinin kurulmasının Dewey'in raporunun en önemli sonucu olduğu düşünülmektedir.
The persistence of educational inequity has been the most durable and vigorous problem education research has faced since mid-20th century. Besides, education is a whole formed by different agents and all agents should take part to reach the desired quality education by coping with all inequity. Educational empowerment can be regarded as one strategy to create a more equitable atmosphere in learning settings. This chapter mainly focuses on the development of students' sense of empowerment in order to overcome disequilibrium at schools. It will also assess different techniques that can be utilized to make teachers and school principals empowered, and assist them to make students empowered. In order to come through some evidence, the results of previous studies on teacher and school principals' empowerment will be analyzed. After presenting the ideas, the chapter will provide some strategies and recommendations for both teachers and school principals on how to empower students to create equitable learning environments for them.
Classroom management is a recurrent topic in the context of teacher education in online, face-to-face and hybrid educational context. The skills of classroom management are one of the most considerable issues of the pre-service teachers. Thus, the teacher educators should make them equip with the classroom management skills. This study focuses on the pre-service teachers’ views on analyzing three movies as The Chaos Class (Hababam Sınıfı), Dangerous Mind and Dead Poets Society according to the freshmen and sophomore students’ view at Faculty of Education in a compulsory course of ‘Classroom Management’. The findings showed that ‘lesson planning’ is mostly identified ones. Moreover, it is clear that Mahmut, Luoanna and John all are role models for the pre-service teachers in terms of their attitudes towards the students and their profession. This study implies that the pre-service teachers need comprehensible and practical knowledge to model for themselves.
