The software projects are considered to be successful if the cost and the duration are within the estimated ones and the quality is satisfactory. To attain project success, the project management, in which the final status of project is estimated, must be incorporated.In this paper, we consider estimation of the final status(that is, successful or unsuccessful) of project by applying Bayesian classifier to metrics data collected from project. In order to attain high estimation accuracy rate, we must select only a set of appropriate metrics to be applied. Here we consider two selection methods: the first method by the experts and the second method by the statistical test.Then we conducted an experiment using 28 project data and 29 metrics data in an organization of a certain company. The result showed that the method by the test gave higher accuracy rates than the method by the experts, and Bayesian classifier with the test method is effective to estimate project success.
This paper proposes the new LLC converter with unique control method. Generally, LLC resonant converter, which is controlled by PFM, has the drawback of (1) difficulty of PWM controllability, (2) difficulty of constant current limitation, and (3) narrow input voltage range limitation. These difficulties come from the resonant operation. In order to overcome those drawbacks, a hybrid control of PFM and PWM is employed for LLC. The resonant frequency is set to lower frequency to generate triangle current waveform, and the output voltage can be controlled by PWM and PFM through adjustment of resonant inductor energy.The experimental results for 48Vin, 16Vo, 80W board achieves 90% efficiency and validated this method is useful practically.
This paper presents the power density developments of high-power isolated dc-dc converter to be utilized in a higher voltage direct-current (HVDC) powersupply system of a data center. This technique results in a prototype of dc-dc converter unit which is smaller by factor of ten when compared with the conventional one, and the area of power-supply system becomes much smaller than before. Consequently, the cooling power for this power-supply system is saved and both the energy and the space saving are available.In order to realize a prototype of the high-power isolated dcdc converter, the switching power devices composed of a hybrid pair of Si-CoolMOS and SiC-SBD are utilized and operated in a driving pattern of hard switching with a frequency of 200kHz. As a result, an isolated dc-dc converter with the input/output voltage of 400V/400V, a rating power of 5kW, and a high power density of 10W/cm 3 has been fabricated. The experimental confirmation was reported and the surge problems due to diode recovery difficulties mentioned before was solved.
