This paper outlines the development of a novel, low-cost, hybrid material from chitosan-methyl esterified sericite-tannin. The adsorbent material is then successfully utilized for the efficient removal of lake nutrients and harmful algae. In a FT-IR analysis, peaks related to -OH stretching, carbonyl and carboxylic groups, and CH stretching were newly created or expanded, and microcapsules were found to facilitate the removal of harmful algae and nutrients. The hybrid microcapsules obtained high removal efficiencies of 98% TN, 98% TP, and 99% Chl-a from the lake water by a quantity of hybrid microcapsules of 1 g/L, pH (7-8), and 30 min contact time at (25-30)°C. In addition, the experimental data were applied to various harmful algae growth models and were most suitable for the Heldane model. Based on the above results, microcapsules can be applied in the field, and can be expected to rapidly remove nutrients and harmful algae.
Mass cultivation of microalgae is necessary to achieve economically feasible production of microalgal biodiesel. However, the high cost of nutrients is a major limitation. In this study, corncob extract (CCE) was used as an inorganic and organic nutrient source for the mass cultivation of Chlorella vulgaris (C. vulgaris). Chemical composition analysis of CCE revealed that it contained sufficient nutrients for mixotrophic cultivation of C. vulgaris. The highest specific grow rate of C. vulgaris was obtained at pH of 7-8, temperature of 25-30°C, and CCE amount of 5 g/L. In the analysis using various growth models, Luong model was found to be the most suitable empirical formula for mass cultivation of C. vulgaris using CCE. Analysis of biomass and production of triacyglycerol showed that microalgae grown in CCE medium produced more than 17.23% and 3% more unsaturated fatty acids than cells cultured in Jaworski's Medium. These results suggest that growing microalgae in CCE-supplemented medium can increase lipid production. Therefore, CCE, agricultural byproduct, has potential use for mass cultivation of microalgae.
Genetic mutations or environmental agents are major contributors to leukemia and are associated with genomic instability. R-loops are three-stranded nucleic acid structures consisting of an RNA–DNA hybrid and a non-template single-stranded DNA. These structures regulate various cellular processes, including transcription, replication, and DSB repair. However, unregulated R-loop formation can cause DNA damage and genomic instability, which are potential drivers of cancer including leukemia. In this review, we discuss the current understanding of aberrant R-loop formation and how it influences genomic instability and leukemia development. We also consider the possibility of R-loops as therapeutic targets for cancer treatment.
The purpose of this study is study the effects of perceived black consumer behavior on emotional labor and self-esteem by hair service workers. 298 hair service workers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province collect data through a survey. Analysis method uses SPSS 26.0 Program to analyze frequency factor analysis, reliability analysis, Multiple regression analysis was performed. First, Second, black consumer behavior has been shown to have statistically significant static on emotional labor. Second, black consumer behavior has been shown to have statistically significant static effects on self-esteem. Third, emotional labor has a statistically significant adverse effect on self-esteem. This study will help identify the negative phenomena of black service industry and further shape effective measures to cope with black consumer’s efficient response and ultimately provide basic data to beauty service professionals to live a healthy and higher quality live.
