Diplomacy is the profession or activity of a country's representatives abroad responsible for preserving peaceful ties with other countries. In this context, Hizmet movement teachers are considered in charge of representing their country in another country to build peace bridges. This article emphasizes that ‘Hizmet’ movement teachers work like diplomats overseas, and their performance shapes the diplomacy in communication wherever they are.
Many nations fused with one another in history and felt the need to learn each other’s languages due to this fusion. Turks and Arabs have lived together for centuries and united under the roofs of the same states due to their intersection in many common aspects. Their mutual efforts to learn each other’s languages as a result of developing relations and common grounds have persevered till the present. In addition to Turks’ efforts to learn Arabic, there have been intense efforts of Arabas to learn Turkish. The endeavors to learn and teach Turkish, which rose with Divan-u Lugati’t-Turk in the past, are now carried out in an abundance of resources in modern areas through technological tools. Although Arabs and Turks lived together for many years, they have had difficulties and problems in learning each other’s languages as their language come from different language families. This study focused on problems encountered in teaching Turkish to Arab students. Data on the problems experienced by Turkish language teachers who teach in schools and training centers in Baghdad were collected through interviews. Exam papers, homework, and other works of the students were examined. A survey for teachers was conducted in this regard. The study focused on the problems identified as 14 items in line with the examinations.
The Hizmet movement schools, which set out to achieve universal peace, attempted to increase methods of communication between nations and cultures by teaching more languages to students, in light of the proverb "One language is one person, two languages are two people." They also taught Turkish as a second language in schools. The Hizmet Movement schools, which teach Turkish in more than 170 countries, have teachers spend time with students outside of class. By incorporating Turkish into every day, they increased its use. They exposed Turkish to their parents and others through projects and studies. In their countries, they have made sure Turkish lessons are taught by Turks. This paper explains the function of Hizmet Movement Schools in teaching Turkish to foreigners and shows how they go to world peace using Turkish steps. This research is a descriptive qualitative study in which data is acquired by approaches such as investigation, observation, interviewing, and source scanning. Studies on Teaching Turkish to Foreigners and Service (Hizmet) Movement schools were utilized throughout the collection of data, as well as expert opinions were contacted, and observation-based assessments were carried out.
Foreign language acquisition is not an easy situation and continues within a certain program and process. Furthermore, no matter what a foreign language it is, the individual who wants to learn the language faces difficulties. These difficulties are sometimes caused by prejudice against speech and the inability to get rid of habits. Since the individuals living in Iraq are a multinational state, the number of people who know at least two languages is quite high. However, while people who acquire languages are good at speaking, their writing skills have not developed well enough. In face-to-face conversations, some prospective students learnt the English language by watching television or playing online games. This research is a qualitative study. In this study, we evaluated the first-year English language learners' thoughts about their failure at the year-end pass exam through an unstructured face-to-face interview made with 10 students who were subjected to 30 weeks of intensive language education in the 2021-2022 academic year in the language preparatory year of a private university. In the interview, students were asked one open-ended question. Their responses were recorded, not changed and then scripted as they said. As a result, the three most important reasons affecting students' learning of foreign languages were found. These include 1- Internet addiction, 2- Failure to do assigned homework 3- Overconfidence.
Imam Ali, the sultan of wise words, who had a good command of the Qur'an, hadiths, and poems of the period of ignorance (Jahiliyyah), used literary sentences even in his everyday conversations. He proved to be the pinnacle of literature by skillfully bringing together words in his poems with deep meanings. His poems were examined in Arab and Turkish sources to reveal the literary power of Imam Ali and the beauty of the used language. Studies on the literary aspect of Imam Ali in the Arabic field are more than the studies in the Turkish field. In the literature, much research was conducted about Imam Ali, but very few of these studies examined his literary language side. As he was the basis of Islamic sciences and the master of scholars who grew up in these fields, he occupied a great place in the literature of Muslim countries. We tried to make up for the lack of analysis of Imam Ali's literary language in this context. Imam Ali was a great person who needed to be examined in every aspect of literature. We tried to reveal his literary side, which was a guide for those who came after him.
