As time evolved, the demand for electrical energy also increased. As a result, renewable energy is needed to replace fossil fuels as fuel for electricity generation. Tidal water is one of the renewable alternative energy sources used as fuel for electricity generation. The tides will never run out and can also be predicted. One method that can predict data about waves is the Spectrum Method. Tide prediction data can be indicated by carrying out tidal height observations for 15 days at Tibo Beach, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. Based on observations, the data obtained are the highest high water level (HHWL) is 2.4 meters, and the lowest low water level (LLWL) is 0.1 meters. Also, the type of tides on the Tibo coast is a type of mixed waves that tend to double daily, there are two tides with high water and two tides with low water with different water levels. Because the value of formzahl is 0.312. With a 2.4 meter high HHWL and a sea area of 35.4 km2, the electricity generated is 13.08 MW.
The natural disaster that occurred in Palu City, Donggala and Sigi Regencies on September 28, 2018 in the form of an earthquake accompanied by a tsunami and liquefaction was one of the phenomena that was considered quite interesting because it had never happened in any area in Indonesia. The existence of three types of natural disasters that occur at the same time has an impact on people’s lives and is interesting to study so that anticipation and solutions can be considered in the future. This condition will certainly have a direct impact on the mooring of fishing boats in Palu Bay. Thus, a location determination is needed and a review of technical, social and economic aspects is needed. So we need an effort to involve academics in recording and providing solutions to increase marine products after the earthquake. The purpose of this service is to plan fishing boat moorings after the earthquake and liquefaction which aims to find out the right position so that it can be utilized by fishermen, provide knowledge to fishermen that the use of existing boat moorings must be done to improve their economy and make boat moorings more efficient. provide education about fisherman productivity. The specific target to be achieved is to determine the location of fishing boat moorings after the earthquake, to be able to contribute to the Palu City Government, especially the River Region III Center so that they can design boat moorings on each coast, through the Palu City Government master plan to provide a post-earthquake response stimulus to helping fishing communities to rise and is expected to increase the productivity of fishermen.
With seas area of 70% larger than land, Indonesia encourages the potential for marine energy as an alternative to renewable energy. One of the technologies developed to utilize ocean energy is the Oscillating Water Column (OWC). The OWC method can convert ocean wave energy by using an oscillation column directing wave energy through the OWC door opening to generate electricity. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the waves utilized in West Central Sulawesi’s seas region include Alindau beach, Marana beach, and Kaliburu beach. Based on wave forecasting using wind data for five years, the maximum wave height for five years is 0.20 m. Estimated power from the calculation results obtained a rate significant with an efficiency level of 11.97%. Alindau is a potential location to develop wave energy.
Xanthosoma sp. is among the six most important root and tuber roots because its rich source of carbohydrates, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals for human diet. Despite its importance and wide spread production, improved breeding and processing of Xanthosoma sp. or called cocoyams could greatly its value and utilization Bantur regency were contributed as the biggest supplier of tannia cocoyam in East Java which is total area are 158,9 km 2 .Alternative way to increase the utilization of it is by processed to be basic ingredients according to needs society. Fermentation process was bring to reduce itchiness of Tannia cocoyam, and call Tannia cocoyammodified flour or MOTIN, which contain proten 3.085 % and carbohydrate 86,59%. when processed into one of the types of food that are of interest to all ages namely instant noodle, the protein increased up to 7,13 % andcarbohydrate decreased into 77,10. By build of Nucleus Estate Smallholder (NES) would contribute to raise the values of cocoyam within sale calculation of instant curly noodles per package (200 grams) can reach a price of IDR 3750 competitive enough to be equated products on the same type and size.
Talise Beach is a coastal area that has the potential of marine products and also as a means of tourism for the local community. Recently, Talise Beach and several areas along Palu Bay have experienced a lot of erosion by the impact of waves that threaten Country Road (Trans Sulawesi), settlements and other public places as a result of the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in 2018 with a wave height of 3-4 m which resulted in erosion and retreating of the coastline and even damaged several main road infrastructure and several other public facilities. The erosion problem is handled by constructing a Revetment-type coastal protection along the Talise Beach. The purpose of this study was to determine the height of the waves at Talise Beach, then to plan the technical design of the coastal protection structures at Talise Beach and to calculate the shear stability of the planned buildings. To test the stability of the Revetment, secondary data are needed in the form of wind data for 10 years (2011-2020), land contour data and tidal data for sea water and waves that are observed directly in the field. The results obtained from the calculation are the Hs is 4.466 meters, Ts is 4.5 seconds, the elevation of the lighthouse is 4.8 meters, the design water level elevation is 2.494 m. The revetment that is built consists of 3 layers using the main material is crushed stone.
