This article discusses the use of social communication media in the field of Islamic education (informal) for adolescents as a solution during the COVID-19 pandemic. As it is known, social media is a modern means of communication that millennials cultivate, love, and update at any time. This study intends to examine appropriate strategies in the use of these media as a means of instilling friendly and peaceful Islamic values. For this purpose, researchers conduct field studies (field research). The research data were collected by combining in-depth interview techniques and observation with literature studies. In the literature study, the researcher adopted six research steps, namely: literature collection, use of literature classification checklist, content analysis, preliminary formulation of study results, literature review, and formulation of research conclusions. The results of this study indicate several conclusions that the strategies that can be carried out are: (1) choosing social media platforms based on priority, (2) paying attention to the needs of adolescents, (3) choosing and packaging interesting and attractive content, (4) Using a persuasive-humanist approach, and (5) featuring a friendly Islamic sharing platform. AbstrakArtikel ini membahas tentang pemanfaatan media komunikasi sosial dalam bidang pendidikan Islam (informal) pada remaja sebagai solusi di masa pandemi COVID-19. Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa medsos merupakan sarana komunikasi kekinian yang setiap saat digeluti, digandrungi, dan di-update oleh generasi millennial. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengkaji strategi-strategi yang tepat dalam pemanfaatan media tersebut sebagai sarana untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam yang ramah dan damai. Untuk kepentingan ini, peneliti melakukan studi lapangan (field research). Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan mengombinasikan teknik wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview) dan observasi dengan studi literatur. Pada studi literatur, peneliti mengadaptasi enam langkah penelitian, yaitu: pengumpulan literatur, pemanfaatan checklist pengklasifikasian literatur, analisis konten, perumusan awal hasil kajian, reviu ulang kepustakaan, dan perumusan simpulan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan beberapa simpulan bahwa strategi yang dapat dilakukan, yaitu (1) memilih platform media sosial berdasarkan prioritas, (2) memperhatikan kebutuhan remaja, (3) memilih dan mengemas konten yang menarik dan atraktif, (4) Menggunakan pendekatan persuasif-humanis, dan (5) menampilkan platform syiar Islam yang ramah.

Quantitative research competence is the main asset for students to be able to carry out quantitative research well and produce quality research results. One of the things that affect the quantitative research competence of a researcher is the mastery of applied statistics. This study aims to determine the effect of Applied Educational Statistics Courses on student competence in quantitative research. For this purpose, the researcher used a survey quantitative research method. The populations of this study were all students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) Master Program for the 2021-2022 Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta who took the Applied Education Statistics course. The sample was taken using the proportional random sampling technique using the Slovin formula, to obtain a total sample of 12 students. Data were collected using a technical questionnaire that had proven its validity and reliability and analyzed by regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the value of R2 (coefficient of determination) or R Square is 0.259 or 25.9%. This value can be interpreted that changes in student competence in quantitative research by changes in the value of the independent variable in statistics courses are 48, 54 % while 51,46 % is determined by changes in other factors. The calculated value for the Statistics course variable is 2, 203 with sig. 0.052 is smaller than 0.05. This shows that there is an influence of statistics courses on students' quantitative research competence and the factors that influence it.
In the world of educators, it is inseparable from research carried out as an effort to find the truth or to find out something new by collecting, processing, and analyzing data using data analysis methods that are in accordance with the type of research. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of quantitative research methods and their interactions in Islamic education research. The method in this type of research uses literature on the descriptive-analytical literature method. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely the content analysis method (Content Analysis) to obtain valid and reproducible references based on the context. The results of the study show a correlation between quantitative concepts and the concept of Islamic education, namely the experimental method and the tajribi method which have similarities, but in tajribi a systematically planned plan in finding facts or symptoms based on Islamic teachings guided by the Qur'an and Hadith.
