Five new prenylflavonoids, artocommunols CA (1), CB (2), CC (3), CD (4), and CE (5), were isolated from the cortex of the roots of Artocarpus communis, along with the known compound cyclomorusin. The structures of 1-5 were determined by spectral methods.
A dichlorinated alkaloid with a novel skeleton, chingazumianine (1), was isolated from the herb Corydalis koidzumiana, and its structure elucidated by spectroscopic data and X-ray crystallographic analysis. In citratetreated human platelet-rich plasma (PRP), known compounds, i.e., protopine (2), (AE)-tetrahydropalmatine (3), and palmatine (4), isolated from this plant, showed significant inhibition of secondary aggregation induced by adrenaline in a concentration-dependent manner, suggesting that the antiplatelet effects of these compounds is mainly due to an inhibitory effect on thromboxane formation.
ChemInform is a weekly Abstracting Service, delivering concise information at a glance that was extracted from about 100 leading journals. To access a ChemInform Abstract of an article which was published elsewhere, please select a “Full Text” option. The original article is trackable via the “References” option.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
