At present, research in the field of the brain does not cease to surprise us with new facts and discoveries that no one could have suspected about 30 years ago. But it was at the time when it became clear that the cerebral neurons are not the only cells that can respond to changes in the external environment. A real scientific boom began to study a heterogeneous group called glia. And scientists are paying close attention to the largest of them – astrocytes. Understanding the importance of astrocytes in the mechanisms of repair and damage to brain cells in various forms of CNS pathology determines the possibility of targeted search for drugs that affect the rate of development of reactive astrogliosis in response to various brain injuries. At the same time, pharmacological modulation of activated astrocytes and other components of glia can be an integral part of the therapy of neurological diseases.
The developed HoloDoctor software package allows performing surgical operations in real time. It should be emphasized that the operation time on the HoloDoctor PC is reduced by 20-30% compared to traditional methods. The performance of HoloLens glasses with our program is high, while allowing the doctor to save time. The complex provides diagnostics, therapy planning, treatment adjustment as needed and minimizes the risk of medical error. HoloDoctor can be used in educational practice by integrating it into educational programs for medical specialties.
Most inflammatory diseases in the human body are provoked by microorganisms. Bronchitis, pneumonia, otitis media, conjunctivitis, cystitis, endometritis, inflammation of the fallopian tubes and ovaries, and many other diseases in modern treatment protocols of all countries contain antimicrobial substances. Treatment of various bacterial infections (for example, chlamydia, scarlet fever, streptodermia, meningitis, and tuberculosis) is impossible without antimicrobial therapy. Viral diseases (herpes infections, chickenpox, hepatitis B and C, HIV) at the present stage are susceptible to the effects of antiviral drugs. Fungal diseases of the skin, nails, mucous membranes, and systemic mycoses are treated with antibiotics. Protozoa cause such protozoal infections as giardiasis, amoebic dysentery, trichomoniasis, malaria, and toxoplasmosis. In such infections, antiprotozoal antimicrobial medications are prescribed. Thus, the spectrum of effects of these agents is directed at bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa. This article provides a brief description of the types of antimicrobials, as well as an analysis of the antimicrobial drugs market in Russia. This is an open-access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non commercially, as long as the author is credited and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
