Abstract-The continuous development of computer information technology has brought about many changes in people's life. At present, the computeraided translation technology (abbreviated as CAT hereafter), being a kind of important auxiliary method, has been widely used in software localization and the translation of scientific works. This realistic need has aroused more and more attention to the development and use of CAT tools. Using the computer to assist teaching was first initiated in the USA in the 1950's and then widely spread all over the world. Until recently, an increasing number of teachers get to know its great use, and try to apply it to the process of teaching. In China the application of CAT in translation teaching is still at the initial stage. In this paper, the author focuses on the present situation of the adoption of CAT technology in translation teaching in China. This paper conducted a survey to investigate people's understanding over it from teachers' perspective and existing problems in its adoption in translation teaching.
Abstract-with the development of computer and internet technology, web-based autonomous learning is increasingly becoming an essential element in the learning process for college students. Web-based autonomous learning, based on humanism and constructivism, has combined autonomous learning and internet technology, and opened up a new path to college English learning. Mastering English is even more important for engineering students whose native language is not English, as many engineering graduates encounter difficulties in their English-related work. Most scientific papers or journals globally are written in English. Most engineering graphs are also marked in English. To prepare engineering students for their future careers and life-long study, research is conducted in this paper to investigate the current situation of web-based autonomous English learning of engineering students in particular and current problems in their process of learning. Based on research findings, possible solutions and suggestions are proposed to solve the problems and improve students' autonomy in English learning.
The nude image is an important part in adult images spreading on the Internet. A new recognizing algorithm of nude image based on the navel and body feature is proposed in this paper. The algorithm considers the naked body which is composed by trunk, limb and face as the object to be recognized. Body is taken as a combination of predefined key rectangles. The intersection of the key rectangles is the navel. Firstly, the algorithm recognizes the location of navel in an image. Then it constructs the feature vector of key rectangles. Finally, it classifies the features by Forward Propagation neural network to determine whether there is a naked body in the image or not. Experiments show that the algorithm can recognize nude images accurately, and the recognizing speed can satisfy the requirement of practical systems.
