Aim The purpose of the present research was to assess the treatment effects of various pharmaceutical agents used by hair implant surgeons to induce hair growth in affected patients. Methodology this study, 500 patients we combined the use of antioxidants, iron, calcium, zinc, amino acids, and vitamins E, D, and C with minoxidil and finasteride to control hair loss, reverse miniaturization, and achieve new hair growth within 2-4 months with group I and II having male participants subjected to cyclic regimen and only minoxidil as well finasteride respectively whereas group II and IV had female participants also following cyclic as well as control regimen respectively. The patients were also followed clinically for 2 years and were observed to maintain their improvement. Results In Group I, the average improvement in density with cyclical medicine was 30% at 2 months and 52% at 4 months. The average improvement in caliber was 37% at 2 months and 47% at 4 months. In control Group II, density improved by an average of 2% at 2 months and 3.6% at 4 months. Caliber was unchanged in 44% of the patients.
Background: UNICEF reports that 53% of the Indian children are malnourished125. Early detection of malnourishment among preschool children helps to decrease the mortality and morbidity rate. Easy, economical and reliable anthropometric measures are required to detect the nutritional status among children in the community. Studies conducted in India found that prevalence of malnutrition in Anganwadi children ranges from 40 to 60%. Understanding the gravity of the problem, the present study was undertaken in and around Chamarajangara . Objective: Utility Of Mid Arm Circumference In Identifying Protein Energy Malnutrition In Anganwadi Children Of 1 To 5 Years Of Age. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted in the urban areas of Chamarajanagara district in Karnataka from January 2020 to December 2021. All the children who were enrolled in the all the anganwadi centers in Chamarajanagara urban were included in the study. A total of 1000 children were included in the study . The data was collected by using a pre tested and semi structured questionnaire by Clinical examination and by anthropometry Measurement as per standards.
TMJ dysfunction is a therapeutic challenge in the oral and maxillofacial clinic. Although TMJ pain and dysfunction can be caused by many different aetiologic factors, the role played by inflammation as an underlying mechanism of pain and dysfunction of the TMJ has played a major role. TMD patients having pain and tenderness for prolonged period of time will show signs of inflammation biochemically as well as radiographically. Therefore the aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of arthrocentesis in patients suffering from TMJ disc disorders. Materials and Methods A Total Of 60 Subjects Suffering From Tmj Disc Disorders Were Selected And Treated By Arthrocentesis. The Subjects Were Followed Up For A Period Of Two Year. Results The mean maximal mouth opening prior to arthro-centesis was 30.10 mm and after the procedure the mean maximal mouth opening was 45.3 mm. The mean right and left lateral movements before arthrocentesis were 6.15mm and 6.59mm respectively, and the mean right and left lateral movements of 9.09 and 9.21 respectively were present after the procedure. The mean degree of pain before arthrocentesis was 7.7, and after the procedure the mean degree of pain was 1.03 as per the visual analogue scale.
