El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar los fundamentos teóricos de un modelo que funciona como un sistema integral de prevención el embarazo en adolescentes, con carácter tutorial; teniendo un enfoque de derechos humanos, equidad de género y práctica de valores, el cual garantiza a las y los adolescentes sus derechos y responde a sus necesidades en materia de educación sexual y embarazos, contribuyendo a la reducción del embarazo precoz. Del mismo modo, cumple una función formativa porque los prepara a través del suministro de información sobre sexualidad, a la vez que brinda a las alumnas y los alumnos, educación socioemocional mediante el fomento de habilidades y actitudes que les permiten manejar sus emociones, relacionarse asertivamente entre pares del otro sexo, desarrollar la autonomía emocional y la resiliencia. Fortalece además la reducción del embarazo en adolescentes, garantizando la igualdad de oportunidades para el desarrollo humano de las y los adolescentes y promoviendo la sexualidad sana, placentera y responsable, con un trabajo tutorial dirigido a fortalecer la autoestima como mecanismo para favorecer el desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional. Este trabajo fue desarrollado en la Unidad Educativa ITSUP, de la ciudad de Portoviejo, provincia de Manabí, de la república de Ecuador, con estudiantes de Educación Básica Superior. Palabras clave: Sexualidad, prevención, embarazo, autoestima, resilencia, tutoría An educational and preventive model of early pregnancy in the high school students from the tutorial action Abstract This paper aims to present the theoretical foundations of a model that serves as an integral comprehensive system for preventing teen pregnancy in adolescents working with a tutorial character. It has an approach on human rights and gender equity, and it guarantees the adolescents their rights, answering to their needs for sex education, and, thus contributing to the reduction of early pregnancy. In the same way, it plays a formative role, since it deals with the preparation about sexuality. It also gives the students a social and emotional education by promoting skills and attitudes that enable them to manage their emotion and resilience between the couple. It also leads to a reduction of teenage pregnancy, ensuring equal opportunities for human development of adolescents and promoting healthy, pleasurable and responsible sexuality, working with a tutorial tool aimed at strengthening self-esteem as a mechanism to encourage the development of emotional intelligence. This work was developed in “Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Portoviejo, and the Educative Unit in Ecuador, having as the sample the students on the High School.
