This research aims to develop learning tools of mathematics junior high school with a contextual approach as a tool for learning mathematics. The subjects are 34 students in the eighth grade of junior high school. The research method used is development research by referring to ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments are validation sheets of student worksheet, questionnaires, and test results. Results of this research are: (1) the validation result of student worksheet is in very good category; (2) the result of a questionnaire of student response is in very good category; and (3) the result of the student's learning test is in a good category. So that, student worksheet is feasible from the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.
The purpose of this study was determine the process of developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) assessment instruments in OTP Class X Correspondence Subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Jombang, the quality of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) assessment instruments, and high-level thinking skills of students. Using R&D methods. The research model was adapted based on Sugiyono's development model which consisted of 7 steps. The study was conducted on 69 students of class X OTP 1 and 2 of SMK Negeri 1 Jombang. The questions consist of 36 multiple choice questions with 5 alternative answer choices. Based on the results of the validation of three experts validator matei, evaluation, and language declared eligible to be tested. based on data analysis, the validity of the questions compared to r table 0.236 there are 25 valid questions and 11 invalid questions, the reliability value of the difficulty of the questions is 0.667 with the category of "high", the level of difficulty of the questions has an average category of "medium", for distinguishing power questions there are 25 items that can be used, and not all questioners can function well, there needs to be revisions. From the overall values obtained the average value of students is 56.7 which belongs to the category of "sufficient" in the ability to think at a high level. Thus, the final product of the HOTS assessment instrument is 25 items.
This research is motivated by the strategic objectives of the Directorate of Islamic Higher Education of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in 2015-2019, namely "Quality, Relevance and Competitiveness" in the implementation of Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. The improvement of quality research, especially with the Decree of the Directorate of Higher Education SK DIKTI No.152/E/T/2012 about the Publication of Scientific Works for graduates of Bachelor programs which must produce papers published in scientific journals. This research also motivated by how the Islamic Early Childhood Education Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta optimized the performance of lecturers and students in research and publications. Therefore, this research is able to find a new understanding of student participation in research and publication. This research specifically aimed to: 1) identify the quality policy of the University in optimizing the performance of lecturers and students of the study program in research and publication; 2) identify the study program policies in optimizing students to actively develop their potential in learning and scientific truth searching. Two methods were used in this research, namely, library research and field research. The data were collected through observation, interview and documentation. Moreover, the data were qualitatively analyzed through the stages of credibility test, transferability, dependability and confirm ability. After the data were analyzed, it was found that: 1) Early Childhood Islamic Education Study Program (PIAUD) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta set the goal of quality research work on the integration-interconnection of basic and Islamic education for at least 90%; set the quality objectives of lecturers' research which published internationally for 10 research per year. 2) Research through apprenticeship program is one of the excellence optimization of PIAUD UIN Sunan Kalijaga that involved all lecturers and published PIAUD journal, namely, Journal Al-Athfal and Journal Golden Age. Moreover, organized seminars and workshops involving lecturers as committees, community service program, and cooperation program with both national and international institution were also excellence optimization of PIAUD UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
