The language that used in Qur"an is different from the arabian speaker used in their daily life. It is called as classical arabic language. Therefore, translate the Qur"an itself is challenging because many people has their own perception and their analysis in the Qur"an. In addition, many muslims in the world did not speak arabic language so that Qur"an has been translated into many languages but its authentic meaning should be kept. This paper analyse the English translation of Quran. based on the Taxonomic relations from Martin and Rose (2007). They are consists of repetition, synonyms, contrast, class, and part. This paper analyse ten translation surah of Qur"an. The translation that has been analyze is taken from one of the popular translation application in play store. It is Holy Qur"an Lite, which is has been downloaded by more than 15.000 people an get high popularity and positive comment. Repetition is often comes up in the Quran if we compare it with other types.As the Quran is the guidance that include prohibiton, warning, and command, it can be indicated why there are so many repetition in the Qur"an especially in its translation.
This study investigates the types of Taxonomic Relation of Surah Al-Baqarah in English Translation. The Objectives of this study are to investigate the types of taxonomic relation used in English Quran translation of Surah Al-Baqarah. It was presented in a qualitative data analysis. The source of data was taken from the English Quran translation by Yusuf Ali. The data of this study were the clauses in English Translation of Surah Al Baqarah from the section 1 verse 40-103 and section 2 verse 104-141. The data analysis found out that the types of taxonomic relation in English Quran Translation of Surah Al-Baqarah. They are repetition, synonym, contrast: opposition (antonym and converse), contrast: series (scales), class: class member and co-class, part: whole part and co-part in surah al-Baqarah. Whereas, the contrast: series (cycles) was not found in both section of surah Al-Baqarah. The most dominant type that has been found in this research was repetition type which the function from section 1 and section 2 was to give command, warning, and prohibition.
There are such countless elements that make individuals troublesome in dominating talking expertise effectively, like absence of training, terrified of committing errors, reluctant to be snickered and don't feel certain, or at some point they appear don't have thoughts in rehearsing their talking, and it also faced by students of SMA N 8 Padangsidimpuan. According to information from English teachers, problems that often face by them such as new curriculum and position of this school that located in the edge of Padangsidimpuan. Many students still use mother tongue to communicate with others. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate if pupils' speaking ability is significantly higher when taught using the fishbowl method than when taught using the debate method, students with high motivation have significantly better speaking ability than students with low motivation, and there is no significant interaction between teaching technique and motivation on students' speaking ability. This study conducted in SMA N 8 Padangsidimpuan. The participants in this study were all students in grade X during the academic year 2020/2021. There were a total of 209 students. Cluster random sampling was used to select the sample for this study. Cluster random sampling is a non-biased method of selecting a sample group of subjects. It used to only take into account two classes. The first class, X IA 1, was used as an experimental group and was taught using Fishbowl, while the second, XI IA 2, was used as a control group and was taught using Debate. The total number of sample was 45. This research used two instruments. They are questionnaires to determine a student's motivation and a speaking test to determine a student's speaking abilities, both of which are obtained using an Analytical Scoring Rubric. After obtaining the results of four post-tests given to both experimental groups, data analysis was carried out. The results were then analyzed using two types of statistical analysis: descriptive statistical analysis, which used terms like mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and variance to describe the data, and inferential statistical analysis, which used two-way ANOVA with a significance level of 5% or 0.05. (SPSS).The result of data analysis proved that there is significant effect both fishbowl technique and debate technique in speaking ability, students' motivation is significantly affect students' achievement in speaking ability both low and high motivation, there was a significant interaction both teaching technique and motivation on students' achievement in speaking ability with P-Value 0.014 < 0.05 (SPSS)
The importantce of Euphemism in speaking especially in public is done to maintain harmony in society. Euphemism itself is derived from the Greek which is eu means well and phenai means to speak. It is defined as a word or expression which is mild or indirect that substituted for one considered to be too hars or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing (Oxford Dictionary). As we know that language and culture are two things that cannot be separated, the usage of euphemism in conversation especially in traditional ceremonial is often occurred. This paper described the euphemism in Mandailing ethnic especially for traditional ceremonial which is called as mangupa that often be done in marriage ceremonial. This research is qualitative descriptive. The source of the data is the utterances which is delivered in marriage ceremony especially in part mangupa. Data was collected by using video recording, and face to face interview to get further information from elderly with average age 50 years old until 60 years old. The data analyzed based on the types and function of euphemism by Allan and Burridge (1991). While the meaning is based on the interview with erderly. Euphemism is often used in Batak mandailing wedding ceremony especially in part mangupa. There were twenty pharase that considered as the euphemism in the mangupa utterances that has been analyed based on Allan and Burridge. While the function of the euphemism that had been identified based on the Allan and Burridgein in this study, it can be found there are only two function.
Spiritual connects between intrapersonal (relationship with self), interpersonal (relationship between self and others), and transpersonal (relationship between self and god/occult power). The purpose of the study were expected to be developed through research by exploring more deeply the spiritual experience of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The research method was a qualitative type with a phenomenological study design. The participants were 7 people with the sample The purpose Sampling. The data collection method used in-depth interviews and analyzed using the Coallaizi Method. The Results of show that the phenomenon of spirituality very influential on people with diabetes mellitus. The strengthened with research results which identifies 5 themes that is (1) impact of diabetes on life (2) motivation to do self care (3) source of hope and strength (4) Spiritual belief or religion be a source of strength (5) how to get healing with private spiritual practice. The conclusion of this study was the spirituality of patients with diabetes mellitus includes relationships with God, relationships with the environment and relationships with others greatly affect in obtaining health such as encouragement to do self-care and as a source of hope and strength.
