This research aims to develop learning of social studies based on local wisdom to improving students' social skills at Social Science Faculty on State University of Medan (Unimed). The used method is R&D method with Borg & Gall procedure. The subject of this research is (1) lecturer and students of Social Science Faculty; and (2) six expert validators. The instrument used are questionnaires of expert validation analyze with the average score percentage (PRS). The research result shows that the textbook of social studies based-on local wisdom developed is very valid and eligible to be used for the subject of development of social studies course. Another finding is that the product can help lecturers to improve students' social skills, namely skills in term of (1) oral communication; (2) cooperative; (3) controlling emotions; (4) managing conflicts; and (5) determine decisions.
This study aims to determine Village Governance in Realizing Excellent Service in Jumantuang Village, Siempat Nempu District, Dairi Regency. Its governance is one part of realizing excellent service provided by village government officials. The research method used by researchers is descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection tools used were observation and interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used was qualitative data analysis techniques. This technique functions to process qualitative data and analyze data that has been obtained from the results of observations and interviews related to village governance in realizing excellent service. Narrative data obtained from interviews and observations are interpreted for further analysis. So in qualitative research, data analysis must start from the beginning. The results showed that its governance in realizing excellent service in Jumantuang Village has gone well. Jumantuang Village, as a public servant has served the community well and refers to the four characteristics of excellent service, namely by providing easy and fast, open services, in accordance with what the community needs, and implementing a familiarity with the community in Jumantuang Village. So that, the service in the community can be said to be better than before. The hope is that the government and the community can establish good cooperation in the success of service activities within Jumantuang Village.

This study aims to: 1) develop a digital module based on the VCT learning model for anti-corruption learning; 2) to analyze the impact of implementing a digital module based on the VCT learning model on the anti-corruption learning outcomes of students majoring in Citizenship education, FIS UNIMED. This study uses a development research method using stages adapted from the Borg & Gall model, namely: 1) a preliminary study; 2) research planning; 3) initial product development; 4) field trials I (limited); 5) revised test results I; 6) field trials II (wider); 7) revision of trial results II; 8) due diligence; 9) revision of feasibility test results and 10) dissemination and socialization of the final product. The research was conducted in the Department of Citizenship Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, UNIMED. The expected outputs are 1) Digital Module Based on VCT Learning Model, 2) Application of VCT-based digital module on Anti-Corruption material increases student learning outcomes by 19.2%.
This study aims to photograph public awareness not to move in the red zone of the eruption of Mount Sinabung. Although the government has relocated victims of the eruption of Mount Sinabung and forbade people to carry out activities in the red zone of Mount Sinabung until now there are still many people who are active in the red zone area. The research is empirical legal research. The location of this research was in Gamber Village, Subdistrict of Simpang Empat, Karo Regency. Data that was collected will be analyzed by technique qualitative analysis. The people of Gamber village carry out activities in the red zone of Mount Sinabung consciously due to several factors. first, economic factor; second, the factor of agricultural land; and third, the belief factor. In addition to the three main factors, the government's inability to persuade its people persuasively not to carry out activities in the red zone also contributes to the violation of red zone policies. Looking at the various factors mentioned above, there are inefficient ways that can encourage people to maintain what is in effect.
