This activity aims to growth awareness and public concern over the use of household waste. One effective way is tomake the process of recycling of waste in order to be a new product that has economic value. Sayang village, Jatinangor inSumedang district became one of priority area for the organization of this event. Its geographical location which is relativelyclose to the area of education is one reason for choosing this village. The activities in the form of Program Pengabdian kepadaMasyarakat Dosen (PPMD) is carried out by means of lectures, demonstrations and practices / trainings. The high productionof household waste and negative behaviour regarding garbage is actually an issue that is closely related to cultural behaviour.Therefore, the solution is actually should be also related with the issue of people’s mindset about the garbage. Recycling wastebins in order to produce a product that has economic value to be an alternative way to change people's mindsets about thegarbage that have tended to be negative. This activity is considered successful because of the participation of the public,especially mothers of households is quite high and active in a series of events
This independent community service activity is entitled the assistance of french travelers visits culture in theVillage of Arts and Culture Jelekong Bale Endah - Bandung. The head of the PPM and members of PPM were acted asFrench interpreter at various activities in the village of GiriHarja or better known as Village of Jelekong. The mainobjective of this activity is to introduce of Arts and culture village of Jelekong as potential tourism assets to Frenchtourists. With this activity, Jelekong is expected as a center of art and culture which can not only preserve Sundaneseculture but can also be more widely known and be able to develop a variety of artistic and cultural potential that alreadyexists. The activities that have been done are Sundanese culinary cooking demonstrations, painting workshop, Jaipongworkshop, and martial arts workshop. These activities are considered successful because of Jelekong people and Frenchtourist’s participation were high enough in series of activities
Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi ideologi gender yang terdapat dalam objek penelitian, Cosmopolite 1, dan mengungkap konstruksi patriarki di dalam buku yang diterbitkan oleh Hachette FLE pada tahun 2017 tersebut. Cosmopolite 1 digunakan sebagai alat pembelajaran bahasa Prancis di Program Studi Sastra Prancis Universitas Padjadjaran mulai tahun 2018. Kajian data dilakukan dengan menerapkan analisis konten dan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) meskipun ada upaya untuk memodernisasi relasi antargender, pemertahanan konstruksi patriarki dan nilai-nilai tradisional masih ditemukan di dalam Cosmopolite 1 yang merupakan buku terbitan baru (2017) dari penerbit ternama Prancis. (2) Bias gender terungkap pada pembagian peran dan ruang bagi perempuan dan laki-laki. Perempuan masih dilekatkan pada perannya sebagai ibu dan istri untuk ditempatkan dalam ruang domestik, sedangkan peran laki-laki sebagai ayah tidak terlihat sama sekali dan selalu berada dalam wilayah publik. This paper is motivated by the importance of incorporating local cultural material into BIPA learning. Local culture is one form of Indonesian culture that is encountered by students in the local community. This paper tries to describe the importance of local cultural material in BIPA learning, local cultural material that BIPA learners need to learn, and the use of appropriate methods and media in cultural learning in the BIPA program. In this paper descriptive analytical methods are used. The results showed that learning local culture in BIPA learners could potentially eliminate cultural shock and increase better understanding of Indonesia. Appropriate local cultural material provided to BIPA learners is tangible cultural material that combines artifacts and cultural behavior of local communities, while intangible culture is an advanced material that is adjusted to the language competency of BIPA learners. The use of methods and media is contextual, in accordance with learning objectives, so it is very open to the merging of learning methods and media.
