PENDAHULUANSetelah 68 tahun negara Indonesia merdeka, masih ditemukan kondisi masyarakat dan tempat hidup yang belum layak. Masyarakat yang belum menikmati hasil kemerdekaan dan kesejahteraan hidupnya dialami oleh masyarakat perbatasan Indonesia-Malaysia, tepatnya di Kecamatan Jagoi Babang, Kabupaten Bengkayang, Kalimantan Barat. Hingga saat ini masih banyak masalah yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat perbatasan tersebut, antara lain buruknya sarana jalan, sarana pendidikan dan kesehatan, minimnya jumlah guru, keterbatasan akses informasi, kelangkaan sumber pangan maupun harga yang mahal, dan beberapa masalah lainnya.Di bidang kesehatan, menurut pengakuan petugas Puskesmas (wawancara dengan Bapak D. Ami pada bulan Agustus 2015), menyatakan masyarakat di Kecamatan Jagoi Babang lebih memilih berobat ke Bau (Malaysia) dibanding ke RSUD di Kabupaten Bengkayang. Hal ini disebabkan jarak lokasi ke Bau lebih dekat, lebih lengkap sarananya
May 20, 2002, East Timor was internationally recognized as an independent country by the name of Timor Leste with extraordinary support from the United Nations and thus officially became an independent state separate from Indonesia. One of the border areas that were selected as the research site was the Wini border, North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. In the Wini region, there is a market called the Wini market. This study aims to explain the role of social capital in international trade transactions in the Wini Market because it involves different citizens from Timor Leste and Indonesia. The research used a descriptive approach and qualitative research method. Theories used are Social Capital theory, Classical Economic theory, and the concept of Cross-Border Trade. The research shows that the people from Timor Leste conduct economic transactions, in this case, shopping at the Wini market every Monday to meet their food, clothing, and other needs. For border communities, the interactions in the Wini market are not only for trade transaction but also to interact with their relatives and others. The results of this study may contribute to the knowledge of the relationship between the science of International Relations and Sociology. From a practical point of view, a border policy can be applied in the economic sector and in the mechanism of mutually beneficial trade transactions between citizens of different countries. The elements of social capital such as trust, norms, and networks have functioned in the process of trade transactions. The application of social capital in international trade economic practices in the Wini Market is what keeps social harmony in the context of international trade transactions in the Wini Market.
This research aims to explain various inclusive education efforts for child refugees in Indonesia within Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (MSPs) framework involving the government, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and academic sector. By using qualitative research methods and neoliberalism theory, the results show that there are various MSPs collaborations to implement inclusive education for child refugees in Indonesia. These collaborations include collaboration between UNHCR Indonesia, Dompet Dhuafa, Human Initiative, and PKBM schools to provide preparatory classes before entering national schools, collaboration between UNHCR and universities, as well as collaboration between IOM Indonesia and the government through the Rudenim to provide home-schooling for refugees. It concluded that inclusive education efforts for child refugees in Indonesia have been carried out quite well by several actors, but this commitment must continue to be improved by increasing national regulations related to the refugee education and providing legal certificates for refugees who have completed their education child refugees; inclusive education, Multi-Stakeholder Partnership; cross-sector collaboration.
The term novice voters are regarded toHigh School Students, College Students, or worker who is between 17 to 21 years old and never been participate or vote in the election. This definition is hand in hand with the law number 10 - 2008, regarding genera election that define the minimum or condition of the voter (article 19:1). Novice voters are characterized as educated, critical, independent, fashionable, adaptable, and like to learn new things. Before the Indonesia Presidential Election in 2014, the media were intensively relay informations on the president and vice president candidates. The media have important part indelivering information and knowledge for the citizens about the election. Newspaper, magazines, radio and television are believed to be the most vital part in the politic democracy system.The study used the Kultivation Theory Analysis, which focus on how the influence of media to the citizens through the news that were broadcasted in the television continuously. This is a descriptive qualitative study which means to describe the role of media especially television that affect the perspective and the novice voters’ attitude toward 2014 the presidential election. The result of this study showed that the role of television staton, especially the Metro TV and TV One were vital, because novice voters whit their limited knowledge about election, gain informations through those Metro TV and TV One to gain knowledge and information about the 2014 presidential election. As the result, the media is capable to affect the novice voters’ point of view to actively participate as voters in the 2014 presidential election.
