Healthy lifestyle is an indicator and influence on health problems. Self-management in dealing with this must be done productively. When uric acid is produced in excess and the processing of uric acid is decreased, uric acid levels in the blood are higher. To overcome this, non-pharmacological treatment can be done by consuming bay leaves boiled water. In addition, health education is also needed. Health education is one of the effective nursing interventions to increase awareness and knowledge. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of uric acid health education and drinking bay leaf boiled water to control gout. The research method used is pre-experimental design with pre-posttest design approach. The population was 60 respondents. The sampling method included home visits to gout sufferers. The sample was 22 respondents. Wilcoxon test was used for statistical tests. The results of the pre-posttest showed the P value was 0.001, which is less than 0.05. In other words, health education and consumption of bay leaf water effectively reduce uric acid levels. This research is recommended for the whole community because this intervention has minimal side effects, materials and tools are easy to obtain, and cost-effective so that it can be applied independently
Kesehatan ibu dan anak menjadi harapan besar bagi masa depan negara. Kesusksesan suatu negara dalam meningkatkan derajat kesehatan ibu dapat dilihat dari berkurangnya angka kematian ibu serta bayi. Pada 2018 kasus AKI di Indonesia terpantau tinggi yakni 305 per 100.000 kelahiran hidup sedangkan AKB sebesar 32 per 1.000 KH. Dengan masih tingginya nilai AKI dan AKB perlu solusi yang tepat sehingga solusi yang ditawarkan untuk permasalahan tersebut yaitu pemberdayaan bumil melalui kelas ibu hamil, pemberdayaan keluarga melalui kunjungan rumah, pemberdayaan kader melalui pelibatan kader dalam kegiatan posyandu dan kunjungan rumah dan pemberdayaan tokoh masyarakat melalui kegiatan sharing/diskusi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mensejahterakan ibu hamil dengan cara meningkatkan kesehatan pada ibu hamil. Metode yang digunakan ialah kunjungan rumah, edukasi, pelatihan, diskusi. Hasil didapatkan pengetahuan tentang anemia dan KEK ibu meningkat setelah dilakukan intervensi, ketrampilan ibu hamil tentang perawatan bayi, pijat oksitosin, breastcare dan senam hamil mengalami peningkatan setelah dilakukan intervensi. Sinergistas atau kerja sama merupakan salah satu pilihan yang efektif dan mempunyai efek yang menyeluruh tidak hanya kepada ibu hamil saja. Peran bidan wilayah Desa Jubung serta kader posyandu sangat penting dan dibutuhkan dalam intervensi ini.
Petani tembakau berisiko tinggi mengalami Green Tobacco Sickness (GTS) karena setiap harinya mereka selalu kontak dengan nikotin yang terdapat pada tembakau. GTS merupakan gangguan kesehatan yang disebabkan keracunan nikotin pada saat memanen dan mengolah daun tembakau. Kegiatan mengolah tembakau dilakukan hampir setiap hari tanpa menggunakan alat pelindung diri sehingga menyebabkan gejala GTS diantaranya pusing, sakit kepala dan mual. Metode dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yaitu melalui skrining kesehatan, pendidikan kesehatan tentang GTS dan pentingnya penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) saat bekerja mengolah tembakau, serta pelatihan penggunaan APD pada petani. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar petani mengalami hipertensi grade 1 sebanyak 9 orang (39,1%), dan pre hipertensi juga sebesar 39,1%, status gizi berdasarkan indeks massa tubuh mayoritas normal 14 orang (60,9%), suhu tubuh rata-rata normal yaitu 36,57 o C, frekuensi nadi rata-rata normal yaitu 87,74 kali/menit, frekuensi pernapasan rata-rata normal yaitu 19,48 kali/menit, gula darah acak rata-rata normal yaitu 117,91 mg/dl. Pengetahuan tentang GTS sebelum kegiatan mayoritas kurang (60,9%), pengetahuan tantang pentingnya APD mayoritas kurang (52,2%), perilaku penggunaan APD sebagian besar kurang (60,9%). Setelah kegiatan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang GTS hampir seluruhnya baik (91,3%), pengetahuan pentingnya APD baik (87,0%), dan perilaku penggunaan APD mayoritas baik (82,6%). Kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku petani dalam menggunakan APD untuk mencegah GTS.
By developing the community's capacity for entrepreneurship, one of which is in the food business, one can empower the community economically. Tutul Village is a productive village with entrepreneurship activities centered on handicrafts, but there aren't any yet in food sector, especially creative healthy food. The team carried out in activities to improve entrepreneurship skills throughout the third year of the Partner Village Development Program, particularly creative healthy food products for pregnant women, nursing mothers, infants, toddlers, school-age children, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases. The training participants were 12 prospective entrepreneurs from 4 hamlets in Tutul Village. The five stages of the training were completed with assistance. Assistance in the form of competency improvement, labeling and packaging, assessment of nutritional content, production permits, and marketing. There are 11 healthy food products with creative presentations that are stimulants for prospective entrepreneurs to develop. Prospective entrepreneurs should be highly motivated to launch new food products so that the marketing of creative healthy food products can be easily recognized by the the general public.
Preventative efforts taken by the elderly with diabetes mellitus against COVID-19 are a balanced diet, routine activities, taking regular medication, and vaccinations. Health education is very important during the pandemic. This study aimed to identify the effect of telenursing-based health education on knowledge about COVID-19 prevention strategies in the elderly with comorbid diabetes mellitus. This study was a pre-experiment with a pre-test-post-test one-group design. The population in this study were all randomly selected communities consisting of students and practitioners with a total sampling technique of 150 people. The results of the paired sample t-test have a difference of two means. The average difference in knowledge before education was 33.16, while the average knowledge after attending the education was 71.72. The average difference in knowledge before and after joining the education was 38.56, and the p-value was 0.0005. There is a difference in knowledge before and after attending a health education, which means that the public knowledge about COVID-19 preventive strategies in the elderly with type II diabetes mellitus is better after being given health education. Health education based in technology or telenursing is the right way to promote health by increasing knowledge in the pandemic era.
