The controversy over the Lotus Birth method for general application is still being debated, but the consensus to delay cord clamping and cutting has been agreed and agreed by WHO that the umbilical cord is clamped after stopping to beat to allow increased blood flow to the baby to prevent anemia. The objective of the research was to find effectiveness of the lotus birth method for the incidence of anemia in infants. The research is done by using quasy experiment with sample infants born spontaneously, having 38-40 weeks of pregnancy and without complications using the lotus birth method (15 people) and the control group not using the lotus birth method (15 people). Analysis method of data uses independent t-test. The result of the research showed no Effectiveness of the lotus birth method for the incidence of iron deficiency anemia in infants at the Klinik Pratama Sejahtera (p=0, 865).The conclusion in this study isno Effectiveness of the lotus birth method for the incidence of iron deficiency anemia in infants at the Klinik Pratama Sejahtera. It is expected that pregnant women should prepare themselves in the face of childbirth by increasing knowledge about how to maintain health and care for babies to avoid the occurrence of iron deficiency anemia.
The optimal implementation of the managerial function of the head of the room is one of the factors that affect the performance of the team leader and has an impact on the quality of nursing services. Phenomena that occur in hospitals are often the head of the room busy with meeting activities held by hospital management so that the implementation of the role and function of the head of the room as a clinical supervisor who becomes a consultant for team leaders in nursing care is often neglected. The results of the study using product moment analysis found that there was an effect of implementing the managerial function of the head of the room on the performance of the team leader (p = 0.00 r = 0.905). The results of multiple linear regression showed that only the implementation of the planning function influenced the team leader's performance (p = 0.039 B = 4.150). The conclusion is that the higher the implementation of the planning function carried out by the head of the room, the better the performance of the team leader. The implications for nursing in this research are that it is necessary to improve the ability of the planning function of the head of the room through strategic planning training and developing nursing managerial concepts.
This work aims to investigate an Indonesian EFL student’s perceptions and experiences in repeatedly doing standardized English language proficiency test: TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). This standardized test has a significant role in the academic and professional lives of students (Anam, 2019); it contributes positively to students’ language proficiency and their future employment if they have higer and valid score in the test (Hsieh, 2017). This present study interviewed an Indonesian EFL student at a National University in Taiwan running an international program. The study participant passed the exam, but she did it repeatedly before she could pass it. This study used a qualitative phenomenological approach with an in-depth interview. The relevant findings illustrate that the participant reveals the reasons for failing the test: lack of self-awareness, lack of self-confidence, and the distance of the test venue from her dormitory. On the contrary, she passed the test by doing online simulation exam individually and modifying her study skills while preparing for the test. The failure process had a positive impact on her in making her to know her ability.
In providing the best health care to the community, hospitals as health care facilities utilize technologies that are influenced by developments and advances in medical sciences and technologies. One of such technologies is the information management technology. Since the quality of information processing is an essential factor for succesful medical care of patients, Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 82 of 2013 requires all hospitals to implement a hospital information management system (HIMS). To assess the successful implementation of HIMS, various models and frameworks have been developed, including the HOT-FIT model. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of the hospital management information system at Langsa General Hospital, Aceh, Indonesia, using the HOT-FIT model which applied the SEM-PLS method. This quantitative study was performed in approximately three months using the HOT-FIT (company, technology-FIT human,) framework that includes nine variables of system quality, information quality, service quality, organization structure, facility situations, support from leadership, system usage, user satisfaction, and net benefits. Data analysis was performed using the SEM-PLS analysis in SmartPLS application (V.3.2.9). Results showed that human, organization, and technology supports were factors that influence the successful implementation of HIMS. To conclude, the HOT-FIT model can be used to identify the factors that influence the successful implementation of HIMS to inform the HIMS improvement in the hospital that will eventually improve the hospital’s quality system, information, service quality, and user satisfaction.
