The article presents the experience of developing the creativity of students within the educational process in the disciplines of “Informatics”, “Geography”, “Physiography” and “Socio-economic Geography”. Examples of creative tasks proposed for implementation in the framework of independent work of students are given.

The paper discusses the features of using the concepts of "correct quotation", "plagiarism", "text originality" in the process of checking the graduation qualification works in the "Antiplagiat" system. Recommendations for improving the verification system at the higher educational institutions are given.
