The article provides an example of classification of electronic-digital maps by the property of dis-play on the monitor screen, presence of a dynamic component. One of the new criteria-type of use is also proposed, since in the modern world the need for electronic and digital maps has significantly in-creased. The article describes the features of creating digital thematic maps for municipal institutions. We consider types of data about municipal institutions (addresses, information about managers, and territorial areas of responsibility), that will be displayed on the thematic layers of the digital map. The article sets out the requirements for conventional signs intended for displaying thematic information, and provides examples. The analysis of the features of creating map signs for their correct display on digital maps used in mobile devices is performed. The main criteria for creating new symbols for mu-nicipal digital maps are formulated. The article also presents a number of definitions: digital map, electronic map, digital map object, taken from GOST 28441-99.
The article discusses the development of a methodology for creating a geographic information system for the analysis of cycling infrastructure in the city of Novosibirsk. A publicly available GIS for analyzing cycling infrastructure with an up-to-date database should ensure efficient control over the state of the city's cycling infrastructure, its use and development, as well as access to the cycling infrastructure information to all interested citizens with the ability to contribute to its improvement. To im-plement GIS in practice the following basic instruments were used: full-featured software for preparing mapping materials – ArcGis; JavaScript library, intended to display maps on websites – Leaflet. As a result the article represents technological scheme of GIS creation, gives the description of structural content for attributive information, offers the methods for analysis of the condition and development of cycling infrastructure, as well as describes tools for the creation of the interactive map with the help of Leaflet.
The project is aimed at creating the software necessary for the course work on the discipline "Modeling of systems" for part-time students of the correspondence faculty. Also, the developed program is planned to be used in the educational process as a demonstration model for lectures and practical classes in this discipline.
The analysis of the bicycle infrastructure in Novosibirsk is carried out. The principles of functioning and the current state of the bicycle infrastructure are considered. A number of problems in this field were identified, including the lack of a unified bicycle transport network and the insecurity of the movement of cyclists in the traffic stream. The results of the research will be used in the development of an geographic information system designed to analyze the city bicycle infrastructure. This system will visualize the main elements of the bicycle infrastructure on an interactive map, construct bicycle routes, and also collect data on the state of the infrastructure through interaction with users. The geographic information system will be useful in the development of strategy for the designing of the bicycle infrastructure of the city by the relevant departments, and it will also find its application as an information and navigation system for bike owners.
