Every supply chain activity in a company is not separated from risk, therefore risk management in a company is strongly required for risk handling. PT. X is a manufacturing company that produces food flavors. Dependence with suppliers and consumers causes uncertainty in the company’s supply chain flow. This uncertainty can lead to adverse effects called risk. Risk can be minimized by carrying out risk management. This study aimed to design a risk management by identifying risk events from the company’s business processes based on Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR), to determine the causes of priority risks and then identifying risk mitigation strategies using House of Risk stage 1 (HOR1), and ranking risk mitigation strategies by considering company criteria in determining risk mitigation strategies using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). From the results of the study, 21 risk events dan 13 priority risk causes’ identified, and 9 risk mitigation strategies’ determined. Risk mitigation strategies’ rank sequentially were conducting briefings and evaluations every day, coordinating with suppliers continuously, making signboards at the warehouse, tightening the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), providing ongoing training, evaluating supplier performance, monitoring more frequently, demand management with considering safety stock and service levels, and had supplier reserves. So, this study suggests PT.X to implement the risk mitigation strategies for minimizing the risks in the company.
Abstract. Corporate chain store is one type of retail industries companies that are developing growing rapidly in Indonesia. The competition between retail companies is very tight, so retailer companies should evaluate its performance continuously in order to survive. The selling price of products is one of the essential attributes and gets attention of many consumers where it's used to evaluate the performance of the industry. This research aimed to determine optimal selling price of product with considering cost factors, namely purchase price of the product from supplier, holding costs, and transportation costs. Fuzzy logic approach is used in data processing with MATLAB software. Fuzzy logic is selected to solve the problem because this method can consider complexities factors. The result is a model of determination of the optimal selling price by considering three cost factors as inputs in the model. Calculating MAPE and model prediction ability for some products are used as validation and verification where the average value is 0.0525 for MAPE and 94.75% for prediction ability. The conclusion is this model can predict the selling price of up to 94.75%, so it can be used as tools for the corporate chain store in particular to determine the optimal selling price for its products.
Manual material handling (MMH) is one of the most vulnerable forms of activity with the emergence of risk of injury to the body, for example musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). This study aims to analyze the work posture carried out by workers at PT. Multitech Advanced Printing Indonesia on the work of moving raw materials. The work includes a series of activities, namely lifting, carrying, and lowering. Of the three activities, lowering was chosen as the most potentially dangerous for workers. This study uses the Quick Exposure Check (QEC) method and Manual Task Risk Assessment (ManTRA) to assess the risk of work injury. Based on the results of the QEC method, the value obtained is 59.88% while the ManTRA method gives the highest value of 2 points from the three conditions for the improvement work posture. Both methods assess work posture as dangerous becauses of the bending position of the back.
The automotive industry is undergoing a very rapid development, where the motorcycle industry is one of them. Although motorbikes are a widely used means of transportation, it doesn't mean that motorbikes don't have obstacles. This research is motivated by observations and experiences of the researchers, that a motorcyclist wants comfort while driving, but on a motorcycle there can be many factors that cause problems. For example, experiencing a lack of air pressure on tyres (de lated) or a lat tyre becomes a serious problem when driving on a quiet road so that the driver feels disturbed. It is necessary to make a tool that can be used to pump tyres easily and ef iciently. In making and designing tools, product speci ication design methods were used, ranging from task translation to detailed design. The Product Design Speciication (PDS) method focuses on the criteria for being achieved in ideas and concepts. The value of pressure from the theoretical calculation is different from the calculation of the tool, the results of the theoretical calculation of the tool obtained air pressure of 38.8 Psi, while the tool testing can directly reach a pressure of 30 Psi. Although igure 30 Psi has been able to ill the front and rear tyres of a motorcycle, the difference in numbers is certainly caused by observable factors. With a variety of factors that affect the performance of the tool but still can meet enough criteria to be able to pump motorcycle tyres and also the design of this tool is made for use in emergency conditions, so that when a motorcycle experiences a lat tyre and the condition is not in the immediate vicinity with a tyre pump workshop, the tool can be used.
