In this modern age, chatbots have been widely used as an information provider. The popularity of voice-based chatbots or voice chatbots has also increased with the presence of technologies such as Microsoft Cortana, Amazon Lex, Apple Siri, and Google Assistant. Interaction with voice chatbot is done using a voice which is more convenient than the text-based chatbots. Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) requires a tool to provide information for the Informatics joint-degree program. In this paper, a voice chatbot named JACOB is proposed. JACOB is built as a web-based application and implemented with Web Speech API. The sentences received by JACOB are translated using Wit.ai. The Jaro-Winkler distance is also applied in this research to reduce errors in identifying the user’s name. This implementation has been tested successfully, and the total satisfaction score measured using End User Computing Satisfaction is 78.53%
Dalam sebuah proyek, kesalahan sumber daya manusia dapat terjadi pada tingkat pemesanan, perhitungan, dan faktur. Selain itu, dibutuhkan waktu untuk mencari informasi yang diperlukan, misalnya informasi tentang proyek yang sedang berjalan dan proyek yang sudah selesai. Proses pembuatan catatan kemajuan proyek untuk mencatat transaksi proyek belum terkomputerisasi, sehingga perusahaan menghadapi banyak masalah, antara lain penyimpangan dalam rencana proyek, kemajuan, pelaksanaan proyek, dan proses biaya. Situasi ini juga dialami PT. Trikon Developindo Sejahtra dimana operasionalnya belum terkomputerisasi dalam upaya mendukung kinerja sumber daya manusia di perusahaan tersebut, maka diperlukan suatu sistem informasi yang dapat melacak kemajuan proyek dan mengelola data dengan benar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem informasi manajemen proyek yang terkomputerisasi dan terintegrasi dengan data. Dalam sistem ini, penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian berupa metode Integrated Rational Process (RUP). Selama fase analisis, PARTS dan diagram use case digunakan. Tahap perencanaan menggunakan diagram kelas, diagram aktivitas, dan diagram urutan. Mengembangkan sistem informasi manajemen proyek menggunakan PHP dan MySQL untuk database. Sistem informasi manajemen proyek ini diharapkan dapat membantu mengatasi permasalahan yang timbul di PT Trikon Developindo Sejahtra dan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan operasionalnya meliputi fungsi pengembangan proyek, inventarisasi material, serta dokumen proyek.
Background. One of the bacteria that cause oral cavity infection is Staphylococcus aureus. This study aims to explore the antibacterial potential of red betel extract and siwak extract against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, in vitro. Methods. This research is an in vitro experimental study to assess the diameter of the inhibition zone of red betel leaf extract and siwak against Staphylococcus aureus. The extract was made from red betel leaf simplicia and siwak wood with a dose of 50% each. The bacterial suspension was made by taking one pure colony from a test tube. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 25 software. Results. Red betel leaf extract 50% showed the largest diameter of the inhibition zone, namely 9.1 ± 0.68 mm. Meanwhile, the siwak extract showed a smaller inhibition zone diameter of 7.9 ± 0.68 mm. One-way ANOVA analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the diameters of the inhibition zones of each test group. Conclusion. Red betel leaf extracts are 50% greater in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus than 50% siwak extract.
