This study aims to provide evidence of the effect of local government characteristics which consist of population, Human Development Index, audit opinion, and independence ratio on the mandatory disclosure of financial statements of local governments. The sample was local governments in Indonesia in 2017 that meets the criteria. The results of the analysis of 458 local governments in Indonesia showed the average of local governments financial statements disclosure is 60.42%. Furthermore, the results also show that the population and Human Development Index variables affect positively on the disclosure of local government financial statements. Meanwhile, the disclosure of local government financial statements is not affected by audit opinion and independence ratio.
Objective - This study aims to determine the effect of earning management and corporate governance mechanisms on corporate tax avoidance. Methodology/Technique - Corporate governance mechanisms use institutional ownership, the size of the board of commissioners, the percentage of independent commissioners, auditing committees, and audit quality as proxies. Meanwhile, earnings management uses the modified Jones model. The sample of this study include non-financial companies that are listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2014 and 2016. Findings - Corporate tax avoidance can be detected by using the effective tax rate (ETR), which is the ratio of income to tax expenses. This sample was chosen using a purposive sampling method, resulting in 871 firms. The results suggest that earnings management has a significant impact on ETR. Novelty - This study identifies that only independent commissioners and audit quality have a significant influence on ETR. The number of workplace accidents in the construction industry still occupy the highest rank (31.90%) and among them are work accident fall from height. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the implementation of construction safety in order to prevent the occurrence of work accidents on construction improvement work carried out diketinggian. The research method used is the method of application research with case study approach method ie damage to construction and flare stack equipment at PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan. The results showed that the success of preventing accidents and achieving zero incident in PT. Pertamina is always inculcate to all workers to think safety first, do the job safely and finish the job safely. AbstrakAngka kecelakaan kerja dilingkungan industry konstruksi masih menduduki ranking tertinggi (31.90%) dan diantaranya adalah kecelakaan kerja jatuh dari ketinggian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran penerapan keselamatan konstruksi untuk mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan kerja pada pekerjaan perbaikan konstruksi yang dilakukan diketinggian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian aplikasi dengan metode pendekatan studi kasus yakni kasus kerusakan pada konstruksi dan peralatan flare stack di PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa keberhasilan mencegah kecelakaan kerja dan mencapai zero incident dilingkungan PT. Pertamina adalah dengan selalu menanamkan kepada semua pekerja untuk berfikir safety first, melakukan pekerjaan dengan selamat dan menyelesaikan pekerjaan dengan selamat.Kata kunci :bekerja di ketinggian, safety first, zero incident.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran spesifikasi material flowable micro concrete dan peralatan yang digunakan pada perbaikan spalling dan delaminasi beton pondasi pompa boiler feed water di Unit Utilities Kilang Balikpapan. Metode perbaikan kerusakan beton pondasi akibat delaminasi dan spalling dilakukan dengan chipping lapis permukaan beton pondasi beton yang terdegradasi, cleaning dengan water jeting, melaburi dengan bonding, grouting dengan sagola chamber, curing dengan selalu menjaga tetap dalam kondisi lembab dan coating dengan amine-cured, pitch free epoxy coating. Hasil perbaikan menunjukkan spesifikasi material flowable microconcrete terbukti cocok dan sesuai digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah kerusakan beton pondasi yang rusak akibat delaminasi dan spalling. Untuk menjamin keberhasilan metode kerja grouting dengan flowable micro concrete telah dibuat metode kerja baku dan teregister di Unit Kualitas manajemen PT. Pertamina RU V dan telah direplikasi di unit kerja lain yang mengalami permasalahan sejenis.
Flare stack adalah salah satu fasilitas vital untuk menunjang operasional kilang. Dengan terjadinya kerusakan pada flare stack maka kilang dihentikan dari operasinya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memberikan gambaran metode kerja reposisi pipa transfer line flare stack dengan menggunakan alat rol geser dan metode penarikan. Alat rol geser berfungsi untuk mengatasi hambatan geser pada dasar pipa transfer line sedangkan metode penarikan bertujuan mereposisi saddle support pipa transfer line seatle kembali ke posisi semula. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan alat kerja bantu rol geser dan penggunaan metode penarikan dapat mempermudah reposisi transfer line flare stack dengan baik dan aman tanpa terjadi insiden. Metode kerja reposisi transfer line telah dibakukan menjadi prosedur kerja baku dan telah direplikasi untuk mengatasi permasalahan sejenis di unit kerja lain PT.Pertamina.
