Abstract. Karate is divided by two classes of kata and kumite. Whole body reaction time test and anticipation reaction time is the need of the reaction karate athlete. The purpose of this study was to compare the ability of whole-body reaction and anticipation reaction time on kata and kumite athletes. The method used is descriptive comparative. Sample was 10 athletes kata and 10 athletes kumite with used total sampling technique. The result shows that the data whole body reaction time value f = 4.508 and sig. 0.059> 0.05 that concluded there was no difference in the speed of whole-body reaction time with the athlete kata and kumite, while data on anticipation reaction time value f = 1.787 and sig. 0.198> 0.05 that concluded there was difference in the speed of anticipation reaction time test with the athlete kata and kumite in karate.
The ideal physique is something that is coveted, especially among adolescents. Often, they do not realize that lifestyle and sedentary behavior can affect physical appearance. The present study was to examine the differences in social physique anxiety (SPA) among male and female adolescents. To uncover this problem, comparative study methods were used. The subjects of this study were 263 students (130 males, 133 females) aged between 17-18 years who involved in sport extracurricular. SPAS was used to measure social physique anxiety. The results showed that there were differences between male and female adolescents in social physique anxiety (p < 0,05). It indicates that male adolescents have a high social physical anxiety and need more attention.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan eliminasi laktat menggunakan metode recovery aktif (jogging) dan recovery aktif (jogging) plus masase . 21 mahasiswa ilmu keolahragaan angkatan 2015 berpartisipasi menjadi sampel penelitian ini. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Randomized Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel dibagi kedalam tiga kelompok berdasarkan perlakuan yang diberikan , yaitu kelompok recoveri aktif (jogging), recovery aktif (jogging) plus masase, dan kontrol. Setiap kelompok melakukan tes Cunningham and Faulkner untuk merangsang terjadinya akumulasi laktat. Setelah itu, setiap kelompok diberikan perlakuan recovery aktif (jogging), recovery aktif (jogging) plus masase dan kontrol (tidak diberikan perlakuan). Durasi recovery selama 15 menit setiap kelompoknya dengan intensitas sedang 55-69% denyut nadi maksimal. Hasilnya, setiap kelompok mengalami eliminasi laktat yang signifikan setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan presentase laktat yang tereliminasi 46.02% (jogging), 26.42% (jogging plus masasei), 22.93% (kontrol). Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan signifikan eliminasi laktat (0.035 < 0.05). hasil uji lanjut, perbedaan eliminasi laktat terjadi antara kelompok jogging dengan kelompok kontrol yang signifikan (0.049 < 0.05) sedangkan kelompok joging dengan joging plus masase joging plus masase dengan control tidak signifikan (0.071 > 0.05. Dengan demikian, dapat dinyatakan bahwa metode recovery aktif jogging dan recoveri aktif jogging plus masase memiliki pengaruh yang sama terhadap eliminasi asam laktat.
