The purpose of this study is to train students’ mathematical representation abilities using the android physics comics of momentum and impulses. This research is an experimental research. This research was conducted in the 2nd semester of April 2019. Performed in the semester II on April 2019. Using 2 classes, namely X MIA 3 as comic modelling class with 22 students and X MIA 1 as comic implementation class with 24 students. The data collection instrument was in the form of a mathematical representation ability test that was tested before and after learning. Data analysis used the n-gain test to find out the increase in students’ mathematical representation ability. The results of the n-gain analysis show that the comic modelling class is mostly in the medium category, while the implementation comic class is mostly in the high category. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that learning using the android physics comic’s application can improve the mathematical representation ability of students on the momentum and impulses.
This research discusses the review of Islamic law on the tradition of mandiu pasili (flower bath) in Maninili Village, South Tinombo District, Parigi Moutong Regency. This research is qualitative with an empirical juridical approach, resting on primary data, and is supported by secondary one. Data is collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. This research shows that the tradition of mandiu pasili (flower bath) practiced by Manilili people is not contrary to Islamic law. It is based on the ratio juris that the tradition instead uses idioms and religious values in its implementation. On the other hand, this tradition contains local wisdom that enriches the cultural treasures of Indonesia, loaded with religious values.
A conventional stethoscope (an acoustic stethoscope) is an acoustic medical device that is always used for preliminary examination of patients with any heart abnormalities. The main disadvantage of acoustic stethoscope is its dependence on how to use it and the experience of the examining physician. This paper presents a simple electronic stethoscope design in Phonocardiograph system that is free from subjectivity of doctors or other medical personnel. This electronic stethoscope is made sensitive in order to capture as many acoustic signal as possible from the activities of the human body, especially the heart and lungs. The design of this electronic stethoscope consists of chest piece, a pipe with proper acoustic impedance, mic condenser, mic preamp, and battery. The output of the mic preamp is connected to the mic channel on the laptop. The recording signal then processed separately. The repeatability of output signal was investigated in this paper. The signal was analyzed by using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The result showed that the frequency responsea of the output signals are consistent, hence the instrument is reliable. Furthermore, the frequency response of the system with filter that connecting chest piece and mic condensor were also investigated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
