Flash sales, sometimes also called as deal of the day are a part of sales promotion which provides its customer with a special deal or discounts on selective products for a limited time .It is helping companies to lure its customers to visit their web sites again and again. The study focuses on the role of online sales promotion done through flash sales in attracting customers and generating sales for web sites. The study is based on the previous researches, newspaper articles, magazines and journals. This Study indicates that flash sales have helped companies to attract masses but they were not able to capitalize on the traffic generated
Social media marketing is entering in every prospective field and results are beyond imagination. Mckensey Co. has predicted Indian pharmaceutical industry will touch 55 billion USD by 2020. Social media is definitely going to change the market dynamics. On 12th Feb. 2014 facebook celebrated its tenth anniversary with $134 billion revenue. Many pharmaceutical giants such as Pfizer, Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca, GSK etc.(Beth Synder Bulik, 2011) had realized the potential of social media and therefore, a huge chunk of money is involved which is resulting into a wide shared network of consumers (i.e. doctors and patients), hospitals, healthcare portal and pharmaceutical companies. It enables pharmaceutical companies to gain market intelligence, obtaining real time customer feedback, spreading disease awareness and engage in brand promotion. This study is an attempt to understand the implication of social media marketing in Indian Pharmaceutical Industry and also to analyze the reason behind the acceptance of social media marketing in pharmaceutical area. The outcome of the study is that social media marketing had created a synchronized platform for doctors, pharmaceutical companies and patients (consumers) in more meaningful and coherent way. It not only creates the awareness about the disease but connects the patients of similar disease profile.
With the upcoming technical interventions in the health sector of India, India has been able to create a great scope for Medical Tourism in the country. People from different nations are coming to India to avail many critical treatments at an affordable price. Even after such great development, Health Equity has always been a great challenge for our country. Through Health Equity, we mean availing the standard health services by the under-privileged, marginalized group of people compared to the privileged segment of the community. The present study will help us to highlight on the prioritization of the allocation of the resources to the most eminent tier of the Health care structure. Also, this study will focus on the effectiveness of this component of the Health care structure of India and how this can help in throwing light on the disparity of the health care services through a proposed model.
Due to ineffective management, the attainment of the maternal health goals by the primary healthcare in the state of Odisha turns out to be a great challenge. Hence, it is imperative for the government to come up with various interventions with an effective implementation of the digital solutions to bring down the fatalities during pregnancy and childbirth. The researchers through this study have attempted to identify the variation in the usage and accessibility of maternal and child healthcare services among the marginalized groups of Northern and Central Zones of Odisha and have also highlighted the impacts of the digital transformation and their subsequent challenges. The researchers have utilized a mixed approach for the attainment of the objectives. Based on the findings of the study, the policymakers and health strategists may focus on improvising the management of the maternal health resources and facilities meant for the maternal healthcare across the masses to bring down the maternal mortality and morbidity rate of Odisha.
Background: A physician offers treatments to prevent, treat, and manage sickness and to maintain mental and physical well-being. According to the World Health Organization, health care includes all raw materials and services aimed to enhance health, including "preventative health, therapeutic, and supportive interventions, either aimed to people either to nations." Stem cell is one of the innovations of health care industry. Stem cells are used to treat over 130 diseases throughout the world, and more than 500 clinical trials are ongoing to develop stem cell treatments. Henceforth, this paper aim is to enhance the stem cell role in health care industry and to find the health professional attitude towards stem cell management. Methods: For the study purpose both primary and secondary data are used. The cross sectional study conducted among 140 doctors of the Delhi-NCR for the primary data. The secondary data collected from records of the WHO, various journals, scientific study and clinical trials. The data were analysis by the using the correlation and t-test by SPSS 21 software to find the attitude of doctors towards stem cell management. Results: The study found that 97% of doctors are aware about the stem cell and 86% doctors have knowledge about the sources of stem cell and only 25% doctors collect the stem cell from umbilical cord. The study determine that the attitude of the health professional are positive towards stem cell management in India and they need government takes necessary action to developed the stem cell management for better health sector in India. Conclusions: Thus it can be concluded that with the increases of the cases the scientists try to find the use of stem cell in the treatment of various diseases. It does clearly indicate that stem cell boost the immune system. The data analysis of the study confirms that doctors in India have a positive view toward stem cell management. As a result, if sufficient initiative is made by healthcare professionals and the government, stem cell management has a wide range of adoption and acceptance opportunities.
