Method: This is an observational research with cross-sectional study design. The study was conducted in 2019 and required as many as 40 respondents. The samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The data were gathered by questionnaire then processed by SPSS and analyzed by statistical test of Chi-square with the significance degree of 95% (α=0,05). Result: The result showed that there was significant correlation between the need of supportive care (p<0,000) and the life quality of the breast cancer patients. Conclusion: There was association of the supportive care and the life quality of the breast cancer patients with the value of p=0,000 <α 0.05.
Dengue hemorhagic fever (DHF) is an infection caused by dengue virus. Dengue is a virus that is transmitted from Aedes Spp mosquito, the fastest growing mosquito in the world and has transmitted dengue virus. The prevalence of DHF until July 2020 has reached 71.633 in Indonesia, and 4.227 cases only in DKI Jakarta province. We usually don’t find new case on July, but this year we still find new cases on July. This should increase our vigilance, especially at this time when there is a pandemic of COVID-19 cases. The purpose of this activity is to increase public knowledge about dengue fever so that they can prevent dengue fever in their area. This activity is carried out through seminar using the zoom application because conditions in the field do not allow offline activities to be held. The activity will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022. The results obtained through this PKM activity is an increase in the level of participants' knowledge about DHF as evidenced by an increase in post-test scores after attending the seminar. The conclusion of this PKM activity went well because of the support from all related parties from institutions, solid teams, and partners who actively participated. The shortage of this PKM activity is that the activities are carried out online because the conditions are still not conducive to do an offline activity. The advice we can give is to carry out PKM activities again with the same partner with different health topics according to the conditions that exist in the partners.
Old age is a process of gradual disappearance of tissue's ability to repair itself or replace itself and maintain its normal structure and function. Degenerative diseases in the elderly for example were hypertension, arthrosclerosis, diabetes mellitus and cancer. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of deep breathing against decreased blood pressure in elderly people who have hypertension. This research uses one group preposttest method. The sample used as many as 13 people. This research uses Purposive Sampling technique and the tool used to obtain data is observation. This study used paired sample t-test with significance α = 0.05. The results of this study showed that there is an influence of deep breathing on the decrease in blood pressure in elderly people who have hypertension on the 1 st day pre and 3 rd day post with a value of p = 0.000<α = 0.05. There is an effect of deep breathing on the decrease in blood pressure in elderly people who have hypertension on the 4th day pre and day 6 post with a value of p = 0.000<α = 0.05. And there is an effect of deep breathing on the decrease in blood pressure in the elderly who have hypertension on the 7 th day pre and the 9 th day post with a value of p = 0.000<α = 0.05. It was concluded that there is an effect of deep breathing on the decrease in blood pressure in elderly people who have hypertension on days 1, 4, 7 pre and day 3, 6, 9 post. The conclusion of the study is that there is an effect of deep breathing effectiveness on the decrease in blood pressure in elderly people who have hypertension
Introduction : Currently, stunting is one of the government's main concerns, because cases of stunting are increasing in Indonesia. The prevalence of stunting, which is in the high category, will affect growth and development failure in toddlers and will affect economic status if not taken seriously. One effort that can be done is to increase family empowerment, both through knowledge and attitudes and behavior. Objective: This study aims to determine family behavior with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 3-5 years, where the family behavior variables consist of Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS), family behavior in food processing, and family behavior in feeding. Research Methods: In this study using a descriptive research design with a cross sectional study approach. The respondents were mothers who had stunted toddlers aged 3-5 years in the working area of the Kaluku Bodoa Health Center, with a purposive sampling technique of 68 samples. Results: From the data analysis using SPSS with the chi square test, the results showed that there was a relationship between family PHBS behavior in food processing and feeding with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 3-5 years. As for each value p is p1 = 0.014, p2 = 0.012 and p3 = 0.000. Conclusion: from the results of this study, it can be concluded that the family is one of the factors that can reduce the incidence of stunting, for this reason it is necessary to increase government programs, especially in health centers that involve families in efforts to prevent stunting.
