Film is one of the mass communication media which is very effective in conveying moral messages to the public. As a visual communication medium, films use moving images and audio which contain information to the audience. Movies become entertainment shows and guidance. In this research, the writer chose the film "Searching for Hilal" as the object of research. This 1 hour 33 minute film tells the journey of a conservative father and a more modern son in search of the new moon, a sign of the beginning of the month of Shawwal and the end of the month of Ramadan. Hilal is used to determine the time of Eid al-Fitr in Islam. This study aims to interpret the moral message of the film “Seeking Hilal” using interpretive qualitative research methods. Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, which divides meaning into denotation, connotation, and myth, is the data analysis method chosen by the writer to examine pieces of the scene seen as containing elements of moral messages. The results showed the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myths in the film "Searching for Hilal" which contains moral messages, namely: 1). Trade as Worship; 2). Da'wah Ethics; 3). Technology and Islamic Sharia; 4). Religion and Culture; and 5). Diversity in Religion.
This research is motivated by the problem of photojournalism that is not in accordance with the rules contained in the Journalistic Code of Ethics. The aim of this research is to find out how the Code of Ethics is applied to the Legal and Criminal News Photo in Jambiupdate.co itself. The research method used is qualitative with data analysis using Charles Sanders Peirce semiotics. The results of the study show that in general there are journalists who are not in accordance with the Code of Ethics. Likewise with the Journalistic Code of Ethics which regulates the ethics of journalists and the media in broadcasting photos in a news story. This study aims to determine the neutrality of Jambi TV in Broadcasting News in Reporting on Corruption Crimes Arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission OTT KPK Ratification of the Jambi Province RAPBD in January-March 2018. The mass media functions as an information disseminator. Therefore the news conveyed to the public must be clear without any distortion of meaning or meaning. Radio development in Jambi City is very tight so it takes the ability to keep listeners listening to broadcasts. Radio broadcasters are the spearhead in a program that must be able to entertain and exist but still prioritize the applicable broadcasting rules. This study tries to describe the application of radio broadcasting rules at D'Radio Jambi station. The study used qualitative methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on data analysis, the application of broadcasting rules by broadcaster D'Radio Jambi on the D'Viral entertainment broadcast program has been implemented well. The main broadcaster plays an important role in the success of the D'Viral program by the way it broadcasts. Entertaining and applying some broadcast rules such as Talk to one person, quality of speech, and mastery of vocabulary. Obstacles that are still faced are conveying messages, vocal technique constraints, broadcasters' ability constraints, and obstacles to knowing listeners. In general, some of the solutions that broadcasters do to overcome these obstacles are conducting broadcasting training, preparing broadcasts before broadcasting, and taking foreign language courses.
