<p>The problem of population is important big issues and urgent, primarily related with aspects of the quality of population control, improving the quality of population and mobility of population, if its associated with the potential threat of explosion of population. The purpose of this study was to know factors associated with unmet need family planning among reproductive age couples in Yogyakarta. This study used descriptive method. The populations of this study were all of reproductive age couples in Yogyakarta. The sampling technique was done by probability proportional to size resulted on 779 respondents of reproductive age couples from 30 sub village in 30 village in Yogyakarta. The results of study showed that there was no significant relationship between respondent ages and unmet need, no significant relationship between wife education and unmet need, and no significant relationship between the number of children still live and unmet need.</p>

<p>Family planning is an effort to support the national policy of family planning program. One of indicators family planning programs is existing acceptors and Contraceptive Prevalence Rate (CPR). CPR is the percentage of devides used by fertile couple. The purpose of this research is to identify acceptors’ level of knowledge contraceptive devices at Puskesmas Sedayu I. This observational research used cross sectional approach. A method of the research is survey. The population in this research is acceptors of family planning in Yogyakarta. The sample in this research is 33 family planning acceptors in Yogyakarta. This research found that understanding acceptors about contraceptive devices are low (54,5%), acceptors aged between 21-35 years was the majority (24 respondents or 72,7%), understanding of description family planning devices was in average level at about (69,7%), understanding the type of contraception devices was average (36,4%), understanding of example the contracentive devices was great (63,6%), and understanding of benefi t the contraceptive devices was low (48,5%).</p>
AbstrakProvinsi DIY merupakan salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang mempunyai unmet need yang tinggi mencapai 13,69% pada tahun 2012. Penyebab tingginya unmet need antara lain akses pelayanan, kurangnya pelayanan KB, larangan penggunaan (baik dari suami, keluarga, agama dan masyarakat), takut efek samping, mahalnya biaya, terlalu tua, tidak subur, masalah kesehatan, dan kurangnya informasi tentang alat kontrasepsi. Penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan observasional ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran keinginan unmet need terhadap pelayanan KB di Kota Yogyakarta tahun 2013. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 47.339 PUS dan sampelnya berjumlah 146 PUS yang tergolong unmet need. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebagian besar responden PUS unmet need tidak ingin menggunakan alat kontrasepsi sampai kapan pun (54,79%). Tempat mendapatkan pelayanan KB terdekat adalah di Puskesmas (74,83%). Sebagian besar PUS unmet need menginginkan informasi tentang efek samping KB (70,55%). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar PUS tidak ingin menggunakan alat kontrasepsi sampai kapan pun, tempat mendapatkan pelayanan KB terdekat adalah di Puskesmas, dan sebagian besar PUS unmet neeed menginginkan informasi tentang efek samping KB.
<p>Family planning is part of the needs of the community, todays, by the government has given to the community. This condition was used by BKKBN as a trigger to improve toward independence. Yogyakarta Province (DIY) as the one province in Indonesia which has high number of active acceptors. In 2012, active acceptors has reached 34.373 (73.29%) of 47 339 couples of productive age (BKKBN 2012). This research aimed to know representation of KB independence in couples of childbearing age (EFA) in Yogyakarta 2013. This is a descriptive research with descriptive survey approach. The population of study was an active family planning participants with a sample size of 521. Sampling techniques was done by Probability Proportional to Size (PPS), while respondents were determined with random sampling technique. Data was analyzed using univariate analysis. In this study, contraception was widely obtained by couple of childbearing age with fully paying and health insurance total of 143 (52.2%) with the reason of having KB independence was because of economic factors at 128 respondents (46.7%). In conclusion, Independence KB in Yogyakarta can be represented that mostly KB is provided through paying full as the majority have a health insurance.</p>
