One of the features that characterize TikTok social media is its main page called For You Page or FYP. Users who are frequently featured on FYP can become popular and have many followers, known as TikTok celebrities. The strategies used by each TikTok celebrity in forming personal branding tend to be different from one another. This research aims to find out the authentic personal branding that TikTok celebrities want to form in their TikTok accounts and the communication management strategies they are doing to form their personal branding on TikTok. This research is conducted because there has not been any research that discussed communication management strategies to form personal branding on TikTok social media before. The theories used in this research are new media theory, personal branding, and communication management strategy Circular Model of SoMe for Social Communication. The research uses descriptive qualitative research approach with case study research method. The datas are obtained from in-depth interviews with five key informants, non-participant observation, documentation, and literature study. The results show that the communication management strategies carried out by each TikTok celebrity was through their interaction and content. The types of interactions differ according to their personal choices and do not always depend on the category of content they create.Salah satu ciri khas media sosial TikTok adalah halaman utamanya yang bernama For You Page atau FYP. Pengguna yang sering ditayangkan dalam FYP dapat menjadi populer dan memiliki banyak pengikut, disebut sebagai seleb TikTok. Strategi yang digunakan setiap seleb TikTok dalam membentuk personal branding cenderung akan berbeda satu sama lain. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui personal branding autentik yang ingin dibentuk seleb TikTok dalam akun TikTok mereka dan untuk mengetahui strategi pengelolaan komunikasi yang dilakukan para seleb TikTok dalam membentuk personal branding masing-masing di media sosial TikTok. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena belum ada penelitian yang membahas mengenai strategi pengelolaan komunikasi dalam pembentukan personal branding di media sosial TikTok.Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori media baru, personal branding, dan strategi pengelolaan komunikasi Circular Model of SoMe for Social Communication. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari hasil wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipan, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan terhadap lima narasumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengelolaan komunikasi yang dilakukan setiap seleb TikTok adalah melalui interaksi dan konten. Jenis interaksi yang dilakukan berbeda sesuai kehendak pribadi setiap seleb TikTok, serta tidak selalu bergantung pada kategori konten yang dibuat.
Jaton village is situated in the heart of where the majority of the population is Christian. For hundreds of years the residents of Jaton Village lived side by side in harmony with the majority of Minahasa tribes who had different religions. A long historical factor makes Jaton Village unique because residents of Jaton Village are direct descendants of Kyai Modjo, a religious teacher from Prince Diponogoro, who was banished by Dutch colonialists along with 63 of his followers to the Tondano area in 1828. Amid the increasing number of violence committed by one religious group in another religion, this research is aim to see a form of nonmaterial culture in Jaton society. This research will answer the question of what form of non-material cultures includes values, norms and regulations for the people of Jaton Village, and how are the values, norms and beliefs passed on to the next generation. The method used is qualitative with case study approach through observation and in-depth interview. The results showed that the Jaton community still holds an ancestral culture originating from Java. In addition, the norms created are mixed up, so there is no norm that limits behavior or action. However, the most obvious thing to hold firmly is the norm of Islamic teachings which is their belief.
Sunda Wiwitan is a belief held by traditional Sundanese society or native Sundanese religion. Sundanese Wiwitan community is spread in West Java, one of which is Cigugur Village, Kuningan. In carrying out their religious activities, this group usually presents offerings. The rituals of offerings in Sunda Wiwitan have existed since the stone age. This ritual is a legacy from the ancestors handed down to the younger generation of Sunda Wiwitan through the communication process. This ritual is still carried out by the Sunda Wiwitan community until this day. The purpose of this research is to find out how the process of offering rituals on Sunda Wiwitan adherents and what are the preparations needed at the time of the ritual. Theories used in this research are communication theory, culture and ritual communication. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative research method with a phenomenological method. The data to be analyzed was obtained from the results of in-depth interviews with three speakers. The conclusion from this study is that ritual offerings are not a negative thing. But the offerings ritual is a ritual that presents the work of human beings to Sang Hyang Kersa or the Creator, creatures that appear or do not appear as expressions of gratitude and. This ritual is also a symbol that describes the relationship between humans and nature and humans with the Creator.
Komunikasi interaksionisme simbolik yang berupa bahasa isyarat merupakan bentuk komunikasi tunarungu atau penyandang disabilitas tuli untuk memudahkan dalam menyampaikan pesan kepada orang lain dan berinteraksi dengan lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komunikasi interaksionisme simbolik antara pekerja tunarungu dengan tamu di kafe Kopi Tuli Depok dan untuk mengetahui cara pekerja tunarungu mengatasi kendala dalam berkomunikasi dengan tamu di kafe Kopi Tuli Depok. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori komunikasi, komunikasi antarpersonal dan komunikasi interaksionisme simbolik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan studi kasus secara deskriptif. Data yang dianalisis diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan empat narasumber. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa komunikasi interaksionisme simbolik antara pekerja tunarungu dengan tamu di kafe Kopi Tuli Depok merupakan bahasa isyarat sebagai bentuk komunikasi antara pekerja tunarungu dengan tamu dan membuat penyandang disabilitas tuli yang datang merasa nyaman dalam berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi. Interaksi dengan isyarat merupakan simbol-simbol dalam menyampaikan pesan kepada orang lain. Pekerja tunarungu akan menjelaskan secara verbal ketika tamu tidak mengerti bahasa isyarat dan tidak bisa menggunakan bahasa isyarat. Tamu dapat langsung menunjuk gambar pada menu sesuai keinginan atau memberikan tulisan kepada pekerja tunarungu.
As the era progresses, technological advances bring ease in accessing information from various media, one of which is social media. One of the most popular social media is Instagram. Instagram is a social media that allows their users to share information in the form of images, videos or writings. But social media is often used as a means to mock individuals with the action of body shaming. Body shaming is an act of commenting on all aspects of one's body. Body shaming action occurs due to the ideal body standardization. The ideal body standardization differs from one place and culture, more often experienced by women. However some people resist the actions of body shaming experienced. Some body shaming survivors have courage to resist such an act by direct or social media resistance. The purpose of this research is to find out the form of resistance by the survivors of body shaming through Instagram. The study uses phenomenological research methods with qualitative descriptive approach. Research data is derived from depth interviews on five interviewees, observations, document studies and literature studies. The conclusion is the form of resistance of the survivors of body shaming through social media Instagram divided into two, open resistance and closed resistance. Adapted to the characteristics of body shaming survivors. The open resistance is characterized by an open interaction between the Group One and the other group. While hidden resistance is characterized by a closed interaction, indirect inter-group. Seiring perkembangan zaman, kemajuan teknologi menghadirkan kemudahan dalam mengakses informasi dari berbagai media, salah satunya media sosial. Salah satu media sosial yang digemari adalah Instagram. Instagram merupakan media sosial yang memungkinkan penggunanya untuk berbagi informasi dalam bentuk gambar, video maupun tulisan. Namun, media sosial kerap dijadikan sarana untuk mengejek individu dengan tindakan body shaming. Body shaming merupakan tindakan mengomentari segala aspek dalam tubuh seseorang. Tindakan body shaming terjadi karena standarisasi tubuh ideal. Standarisasi tubuh ideal berbeda-beda tergantung dari tempat dan budaya dan lebih sering dialami oleh perempuan. Namun, beberapa orang melawan dari tindakan body shaming yang dialami dan mereka disebut dengan penyintas. Beberapa penyintas body shaming berani melakukan tindakan perlawanan secara langsung maupun melalui media sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk perlawanan yang dilakukan oleh penyintas body shaming melalui Instagram. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam, pengamatan langsung, studi dokumen dan studi kepustakaan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bentuk perlawanan penyintas body shaming melalui media sosial Instagram terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu bentuk perlawanan terbuka dan bentuk perlawanan tertutup disesuaikan dengan karakteristik penyintas body shaming. Perlawanan terbuka dikarakteristikkan dengan adanya interaksi terbuka antara kelompok satu dengan kelompok lainnya. Sementara perlawanan tersembunyi ditandai dengan adanya interaksi tertutup atau tidak langsung antar kelompok
