Existence and location of Stackelberg equilibria is studied for two players by using appropriate variational inequalities and fixed point arguments. Both compact and noncompact strategy sets are considered in Euclidean spaces; in the non-compact case, we apply arguments from the theory of (discrete and continuous) projective dynamical systems. Some examples are also presented.
We study the existence of Stackelberg equilibrium points on strategy sets which are geodesic convex in certain Riemannian manifolds by using metric projection arguments. The present results extend those obtained in Nagy [J. Global Optimization (2013)] in the Euclidean context.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
