This article presents the main areas of application of atomic force microscopy in biology and medicine, describes the principle of an atomic force microscope and the main modes of its operation. The works and results of the leading laboratories in the stated topic are considered. There are a number of proposals for generalizing the considered results into a unified knowledge base on diseases and the general state of health of the human body.
