This chapter examines the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in conflict regions, and the ways that entrepreneurs cope with those challenges, with a focus on youth entrepreneurs. It presents a case study from Mindanao, Philippines conducted through a qualitative/quantitative survey of youth agri-entrepreneurs' coping strategies. Most of the youth entrepreneur respondents avoided conflict in their surrounding areas even though it had a cost to their livelihoods; a few sought out opportunities within conflict areas to increase their profit margins. Another coping strategy that the youth entrepreneurs utilize is to have multiple formal and informal income streams.
