Phys. 93, 7202 (2003); 10.1063/1.1555902Microwave permeability of ferromagnetic thin films with stripe domain structureWe developed the fully automatic permeameter which is made of driving plates and shielded loop coil available in 1 MHz-3GHz. We clarified the sensitivity of the permeameter and the sensitivity can be explained by an uncertainty of network analyzer. We evaluate the permeability of striped CoNbZr films ͑50, 20, 10 m wide͒. A reasonable relation between permeability spectrum and domain observations can be demonstrated.
We propose a new method to measure the permeability of striped films. The permeability can be obtained by the change in the input impedance of the film. The sensitivity of these measurements are compared with the figure-eight coil method. The sensitivity of the method is estimated over 100 times greater than a conventional figure-eight coil method. The permeability of striped CoNbZr films (100 m wide) can be measured accurately using this permeameter.Index Terms-High sensitivity, input impedance, striped film, thin film permeability.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
