COVID-19 has caused great changes in education. Routines, practices, and especially the technologies used in teaching have differentiated at all levels of education. The purpose of this study is to determine the technologies used by faculty members for instructional purposes before and during the COVID-19 pandemic and their perspectives on the use of these technologies after the end of pandemic. A close-ended questionnaire was used for gathering data in this survey research study. Participants are150 faculty members from different ages and fields. Findings indicate that, although faculty members experienced various issues (e.g., infrastructure problems, access to technology, and lack of experience in technology) while teaching through technological facilities during the pandemic, they are in favor of using tools such as WhatsApp, Google classroom, Zoom Meeting, Facebook, and e-mail after the end of pandemic due to the different facilities they provide.
Küçürek öykü ile şiir arasında çok yakın bir ilişki vardır. Türkiye'de şiirle kısa öykü arasındaki kan bağını vurgulayan ve yazdıklarıyla belgeleyen isimler arasında yakın dönem öykücüsü Necati Tosuner de bulunur. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of refugee-themed children's literature works on students' attitudes towards refugees in 7th grade Turkish lessons. In the research, mixed method was used to deal with the problem situation in a way that would allow different perspectives. In this context, explanatory case study was applied with a semi-experimental pattern with pretest-posttest unsynchronized control group. The target population of the study is 7th grade students in the secondary school, and the sample is 7th grade students determined as experimental and control groups from Yavuz Selim Secondary School and Farabi Imam Hatip Secondary School in the city center of Muş. The research carried out by application of the Attitude Scale for Refugee Students (ASRS) and Written Opinion Form to the groups; in the experimental group, it was carried out in the form of processing 8-week activities for refugee-themed children's literature products and keeping semi-structured observation forms. In the research, quantitative data were analyzed with a package program, and qualitative data were analyzed with descriptive analysis technique. In the experimental group, the difference between the pretest and the posttest ASRS total score averages was found to be statistically significant and not in the control group. It was determined that there was no positive difference in 6 of the 12 refugee-themed target values and no differences in 6 among the experimental group's written opinion forms before and after the application. In the control group, one of these values changed positively, one of them changed negatively and ten of them did not change. According to the results of the observations, an improvement in the attitudes towards refugees was observed in the experimental group. In line with both quantitative and qualitative data, it was concluded that products of refugee-themed children's literature had a positive effect on students' attitudes towards refugees in 7th grade Turkish lessons.
