We have developed a new high resolution glasses-less 3D LCD with head-tracking technology. The 3D crosstalk has been suppressed to less than 2% at any position of the viewer by applying a fine pitch barrier and proper aperture design to the display.
We have developed a wide‐view glass‐less 3D display using head‐tracking technology. In the head‐tracking system, the viewer's positions are captured by a real‐time camera and dedicated software and the 3D image is displayed with real‐time rendering relating to the viewer's positions. 3D crosstalk has been suppressed a low level by using an interesting multi‐pixel rendering method. 3D resolution above 170ppi has been achieved by adopting a high resolution LTPS LCD.
In this paper a 12.2‐inch 1920 × RGBW × 720 prototype LCD for automotive use which integrates an in‐cell touch panel is described with some electrical and electro‐optical characteristics. In addition, the prototype of a curved‐faced and non‐rectangular form of this cited LCD is described.
In this study, a glass-less 3D display with a head-tracking system for horizontal and vertical directions was developed. Based on the viewer's head position, the barrier pitch and the position of the barrier aperture were optimized. This resulted in the expansion of the 3D viewing zone in a vertical direction from the display surface to the distance of "320 -1016 mm", and in the horizontal direction from the center of the display at a "r267 mm" distance.
In this study, we describe a 10.0-inch 1080 × 2880 capacitive curved-faced prototype liquid crystal display for automotive use, which has integrated in-cell touch panel technology. A sufficient signal-to-noise ratio of 100-160 was achieved with this display despite the 1.1-mm-thick cover glass.
