Kinetic experiments were performed to induce of the green methyl dye adsorption from aqueous solution on the bauxite clay. This study includes determination of the adsorption capacity of bauxite clay to methyl green dye adsorption and study the effect of some parameters ( temperature , time ) on the kinetic of the adsorption process of the dye were studied. Quantity of dye adsorbed was increased when the temperature increases from 298 to 318K which indicates that methyl green adsorption processes are endothermic nature . In order to describe the kinetic data and the rate adsorption constants of the pseudo-first-order and second-order kinetics were used . The kinetics data were applied well with the second-order kinetic model. From activation energy value (Ea) for methyl green dye are energetically favorable and the dye adsorption includes physical and chemical adsorption types
A resin of 2-aminophenol-formaldehyde (2-A-Ph-F) was prepared and characterized by FT-IR technique. This resin was loaded on polystyrene (PS) as a matrices using DMF solvent, after that the polymer solution was used in electrospinning process in order to result electrospun nanofiber mat (2-A-Ph-F)/PS which has been used as adsorbent surface for studying the adsorption kinetic of malachite green dye (MG) at different temperatures to observe the behavior of this adsorption system. Generally, there is an increase in the values of rate constants with increasing temperature and the experimental results obeyed very well Lagergren's equation. So, the activation energy value (Ea) was estimated by Arrhenius equation, while the diffusion mechanism and the rate controlling steps explained according to Weber's intraparticle diffusion model.
Multi-walled carbon nanotubes from cheap tubs company MWCNT-CP were purified by alcohol \ H2O2 \ separation funnel which is simple, easy and scalable techniques. The steps of purification were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy SEM with energy dispersive of X-ray spectroscopy EDX and surface area measurements. The technique was succeeded to remove most the trace element from MWCNT-CP which causing increase the surface area. The ratios of impurities were reduced to less 0.6% after treatment by three steps with losing less than 5% from MWCNT-CP.
Corrosion behavior of aluminium in 0.6 mol. dm -3 NaCL solution in acidic medium ( ) was investigated in the absence and presence of different concentrations of amino acid, glutamic acid, as environmentally -friendly corrosion inhibitor over temperature range (293-308)K. The investigation involved electrochemical polarization method using potentiostatic technique and optical microscopy, the inhibition efficiency increased with an increase in inhibitor concentration but decreased with increase in temperature. Results showed that the inhibition occurs through adsorption of the inhibitor molecules on the metal surface and it was found to obey Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Some thermodynamic parameters ( ) and activation energy ( )were calculated to elaborate the mechanism of corrosion inhibition. The polarization measurements indicated that glutamic acid is of mixed type. The surface characteristic of the inhibited and uninhibited metal samples were investigated by optical microscopy.
In this study, bauxite and modified bauxite /polymer, which were prepared as an adsorbent surfaces to adsorption of the tetracycline from aqueous solutions. A series of adsorption experiments were conducted to determine the equilibrium time and temperature effect on the adsorption process. The results showed that adsorption was agreed with the Freundlich equation model for the surface of the bauxite. As for the modified bauxite surface, the results were consistent with the Langmuir equation model. The values of the basic thermodynamic functions of the adsorption process were calculated, so the process of adsorption was founded spontaneous and endothermic.
