The coupling between a quantum dynamical system and a two-level system reservoir is analysed within the framework of the Feynman-Vernon theory.We stress the differences between this new reservoir and the well-known bath of oscillators and show that, in order to obtain the Langevin equation for the system of interest in the high temperature regime, we have to choose a spectral distribution function J(ω) which is finite for ω = 0.
We devise and apply a method for the calculation of the exact propagator for the Schrodinger equation for the one-dimensional Hamiltonian &(p,x)=p /2m + Voe(x). The limiting cases Vo -+0 (free particle) and Vo~~(opaque wall) are checked. The method is also applicable to any piecewiseconstant potential.
We study an isolated three-dimensional system composed of a slow one-freedom system of interest interacting with a soft-chaotic environment. We present numerical evidence that the averaged motion of the slow system is dissipative, though not exactly governed by the Langevin equation. An analytical reasoning is proposed to explain the results, circumventing the unsufficiency of the adiabatic hypothesis.
We derive a boundary integral equation to compute the eigenvalues of two-dimensional billiards subjected to a magnetic field. The integral requires the Green's function of the boundary-free problem with the magnetic field pointing in the opposite direction. This Green's function is computed for the case of a constant magnetic field perpendicular to the billiard and some applications are discussed. ResumoDiscute-se o cenário atual da Psicologia Escolar no Maranhão, tendo como parâmetro as transformações ocorridas nas últimas décadas em âmbito nacional. Foi realizado um estudo bibliográfico sobre o tema, a partir do qual se levantaram reflexões sobre o histórico e as tendências atuais no âmbito da formação e atuação do psicólogo escolar no estado.
