The aim of the research paper is to identify the need of adaptation of tourist facilities to people with disabilities in Republic of Croatia as a tourist destination. Tourists and travellers with disabilities want to be equal members of our community and enjoy all tourist facilities just like other healthy people, although they are often restricted due to the inadequacy of tourist facilities. The paper analyses different tourist offers, amenities and infrastructure in order to assess its level of adaptation to people with disabilities in the Republic of Croatia. Research methods carried in this paper are historical, analysis, synthesis and empirical research conducted as a quantitative data analysis of a questionnaire distributed to people with disabilities on the sample of 200 disabled people from Croatia. The results of the research indicate that significant improvement should be implemented regarding suitable tourist offer in order to satisfy needs of tourists with different types of physical disabilities in Republic of Croatia. Based on the research results authors provide numerous recommendations to be implemented in Croatian tourist sites.
Modern transformations in the global economy radically changed the food supply system of the population, necessitating the formation of a new agrarian policy and the implementation of a system of tactical and long-term strategic state measures. Scientifically based economic and agricultural policy is the most important condition for stabilization and effective development of the agro industrial complex, the factor of growth of well-being of the population and ensuring a food security of any state. The main goal of the agricultural policy is to create the institutional conditions that would allow producing a competitive product and enhancing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises. The authors tried to search the inconsistencies in the implementation of institutional reforms in the agricultural sector on the example of the Russian Federation. Based on works of outstanding theorists of institutional science (A. Pigou and R. Coase), two directions of institutional reforms have been identified. The authors show the distinctions of these directions and possible ways of practical realization of them in the agricultural sector. The problem of weak market power of traditional producers of agricultural raw materials is revealed. The transition to ecological agriculture is able to increase the market power of agricultural producers in the reproduction process that would automatically lead to better balance of income distribution between main actors in the reproduction process, while improving the quality of products for the consumers.
The main aim of this article is to explore the trends of gastro tourism, the development of gastro tourism in the Republic of Croatia, the gastronomic offer of Croatia, the potentials and opportunities for the advancement of gastronomy in Croatia's tourist offer. The research shows representation of new trends in today's gastro tourism market such as molecular food, slow food, macrobiotic food, eco, functional and vegetarian food. The main purpose is to find out to which extent are specific trends represented in Croatian restaurants. The methodology used is secondary research, desk research, method of analysis and synthesis, comparative method, quantitative research, interview as well as the observation from real life. As part of the quantitative method there is a survey conducted amongst 30 Croatian restaurants; 10 restaurants in continental Croatia and 20 restaurants in the area of coastal Croatia (among the best in 2016). Questions were asked about the extent to which the contemporary gastronomic trends were represented on the menus of selected Croatian restaurants. An interview was conducted with founder and owner of Palatin restaurant in Varazdin. Findings show that Croatian restaurants are aware of new trends in nutrition and culinary area, but the offer of dishes covered by these trends is insufficient. Gastro tourism as a selective form of tourism is poorly associated as a special segment. It is assumed that around 3% of the total world travel is motivated by gastronomy as the primary motive of travel. Considering that tourism in Croatia is an important economic activity. Croatia's gastronomic offer surely can be measured with the offer of other European destinations, such as Spain, Italy and other countries on this issue, but sadly this potential of Croatia is still poorly used.
