The paper describes the measures taken by Russian universities to implement the Sustainable Development Goals proclaimed by the United Nations in 2015. These goals are in line with the Third Mission activities of a modern university. The core argument is that an environmentally sound interaction should be formed in the depths of educational ecosystems, resulting in an ecological culture. It is advisable to start the transition to a new type of development at universities, since only in this case Russian technologies will eventually meet the environmental requirements. The paper considers the initiatives of the leading Russian universities to introduce economic and social changes aimed at satisfying the needs not only of the living, but also of the future generations [1].
The author’s prophylactic program presented in the article is due to help up psychical health of teenagers and Tourism students both, its goal is to involve in such useful and recreational activity as tourism. Tourism is able to stimulate sensory channels of reality perception, therefore why it may serve as rewarding substitution of passive computer pastime. However, it is possible only under condition of defined algorithm of actions, which should been fulfilled through mentoring system of different levels realization. The author guided by the fact that teenagers trust the information, the source of which is the coevals or the persons who are not much older. «The school of young tourist» contains three vectors of prophylactic work with teenagers: interactive programs organized by Tourist stu- dents under skilled psychologist guidance, the programs providing useful teenagers occupation and the programs conducted by the seniors. The idea of «The school of young tourist» is dictated by the target auditory need in self – improvement, track finding, depression overcoming. Such emotion as suspense is intrinsic to the young people, it appears to be the reason of their depression. The author of the article states that proposed project has powerful potential of the career guidance, it allows to create the channels of communication between university, which has «Tourism» profile and school audience seeking the trace of the future professional realization. The project «The school of young tourist» possesses high practical importance because it fits to be actualized on the platform of the majority of the universities comprising the Universities for Tourism and Service Association.
The paper reveals a new dimension of implementing the third mission of a university - through the activities rolled-out by Russian universities in their botanic gardens. For urban residents, botanic gardens, in addition to their main functions, are gradually becoming a place for integrating different population groups, from schoolchildren to pensioners. These public spaces conduct active educational policies aimed at many segments of a broader university community, taking into account the experience of regional environmental organizations and international Associations of Botanic Gardens. The author argues that the ecological vector is a priority for productive communication of a university with regional and global audiences at the site of its Botanic Garden, which becomes a measure of the university entering upon the way of sustainable development
The article states the need of foresight of the further Service industry development in order to prepare more qualified specialists at such actual graduate studies as «Service» and «Tourism». Today educational process at these disciplines demands creative approach, which involves Professor and Student collaboration in innovative ideas production. The author of the article states that foresight of the Service industry trends allows pay attention to actual problems at the lectures and practical classes, it gives an opportunity to redistribute the instructional time, destined to theo- retical or practical work, to make the sessions more valuable, full of case – studies. The conclusion of the article is the statement that foresight is very helpful for the student auditory in a different ways – as a raised problem, as a special task, as a form of a lesson, as a method of the research. The main foresight advantage is its ability to activate creative potential of the students. The students begin to study more diligent, they try to find new and original solutions of their professional tasks. They demand innovative thinking because it increases above exist- ing algorithms, samples and models. It comes to the new progressive results. Innovative thinking development is following by the innovative behavior development and growth of the commercialization and promotion skills. The creativity of future experts is the quality, which provides their life achievements.
