Microgreens are a new functional food crop that can facilitate adaptation to urbanization and global climate change, and improve human health. The research was carried out in 2021 at the Department of Landscape Architecture of the Kuzbass State Agricultural Academy. The aim of the research was to study the technology of cultivation of microgreens of the Brassicaceae family on an aqueous substrate. The objects of research were the seeds of cultivated plants of the Brassicaceae family: Brassica oleracea Broccoli Group broccoli or asparagus, Fortuna, Raphanus sativus radish, Violetta, Lepidium sativum, watercress, Dansky, and Eruca versicaria, arugula, Sicily. It was revealed that microgreens can be obtained from seeds of the Brassicaceae family in 6-12 days. Such a product does not have time to accumulate harmful substances from the atmosphere in a short period of time. When growing microgreens, it is not necessary to use mineral fertilizers, pesticides and, thus, it is possible to obtain environmentally friendly, biologically useful products with low material costs. It was found that, depending on the seeds of the studied crops and their genotype, the cycle of growing microgreens lasts from 6 to 10 days after germination. Depending on the type of culture, the sprouts reached a height of 5-10 cm. The laboratory germination rate was 96-98%.
The situation of the development of dairy goat breeding in the world and in Russia is considered. Interest in goat milk as an object of functional nutrition is noted. The history of dairy goat breeding in Russia is described. It is shown that this country does not have a single domestic breed of dairy or meat goats. It is emphasized that the majority of dairy goats in the Russian Federation are local outbreed goats, but many territories are interested in purebred breeding and have favorable conditions for the development of goat breeding. The research materials were the results of a generalization of the experience of foreign and domestic goat breeders. Alpine, Nubian and Czech goat breeds have been identified as promising. These breeds are still rare for the country and characterized by high productivity. It is important to carry out selective work and have state support for the development of the industry. Despite the good prospects for the development of industrial dairy goat breeding, the basis will be farms and personal households in the near future. It is advisable to create associations of goat breeders at regional levels, as well as at the all-Russian level with international relations, for training farm specialists and all interested goat breeders in techniques for breeding work, technology for keeping and feeding animals, which will help to increase their professional level and develop the industry in general.
Medicinal plants are widely used in the nutrition of farm animals. In addition, the active components of medicinal plants have always been an important source of the ingredient composition of pharmaceuticals and specialized food products, including biologically active additives. However, the study of their molecular pharmacology presents a particular challenge, since they offer a wide chemical diversity of active substances with different multipharmacological activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the scientific developments of recent years on the use of preparations and functional products based on Echinacea purpurea in medicine and nutrition, taking into account the distribution and availability of Echinacea purpurea as a medicinal plant. Echinacea stimulates the immune system, reduces blood sugar, anxiety and inflammation, improves skin health, has anti-cancer properties, and may serve as a viable alternative to chlorhexidine. Suggested dosages depend on the form of echinacea. It can help prevent colds, shorten their duration or relieve symptoms, and be effective as a preventative treatment for CoV. Echinacea is considered safe and well tolerated when used under controlled conditions. It may be one of the most promising herbal remedies for improving the immunity of various types of farm animals and humans.
